This release of this compilation is concurrent with our public unveiling of the glitch.cool music label and serves as its first official release. This label will be our directly artist-controlled outlet for releasing what we hope will be the most cutting edge in hyperglitch and other left-field electronic music and we have already planned a solid lineup of internal glitch.cool staff releases. We cannot wait to further deploy this project as a collective statement of our artistic vision.

We hope to use this as a hub for accessing all of our content, which currently includes free music, free tutorials, and resources, as well as a new section to accommodate output from the incredible glitch.cool Discord community that has been building over the last two years. By giving album the name "Trumours", Gianluca sets the premise of showcasing the complex relationships between things, that people usually oversimplify with their biases and beliefs. In this case, the relationship between an artist and his creation, which an artist in question wants to polish to an unreachable perfection, in addition to that, leave small details for people to find. Somewhere in this relationship, the audience and the people that surround the musician play a key role as well, by not only giving recommendations and feedback, but also exchanging important experiences and knowledge with an artist. The relationships form; an endless stream / feedback of information is built, thus allowing one to grow even further and beyond in all kinds of directions.

Following the release of his excellent debut on Barcelona’s Lapsus Records, Wordcolour lands on Houndstooth with an astounding EP of next generation club music. The London-based producer invites us into his musical world as we journey through three highly detailed soundscapes, both emotionally resonant and functional for the floor.

With a background in jazz, pop and contemporary classical, Wordcolour has also previously produced music for TV and theatre. On his sophomore solo release, he demonstrates his diverse musical knowledge with dynamic and engaging compositions that indicate many years of music making. While making nods to the best of contemporary UK experimentation, these cinematic tracks deftly switch between tempos all the while retaining Wordcolour’s own aesthetic signature.
