Blancmange started life early in 1979 as the culmination of various musical liaisons between Neil Arthur and Stephen Luscombe.

In 1992, a crack DJ unit was sent to prison by the PRS for samples they "didn't steal" These men promptly escaped from a minimum security day release prison to the Dance music underground. RETRO FRESH is an imprint label dedicated to the preservation of classic South African pop & rock music of the last 30 years ... each release, many available for the first time on cd, has been digitally remastered with bonus tracks including live, studio out takes, demos and unreleased songs.
