The autumn has arrived and we are ready to start the dark and sweaty club season with SNOEflakes #2. Again four various and immensely talented artists are presented in the format that successfully brought you some of the biggest hits this summer.

In the second edition of SNOEflakes label boss Andreas Henneberg’s “Confusion” is right on point. A powerful track combining strong synths and an interestingly misleading and fascinating vocal, building some big momentum as it moves forward. Not Usual continues in a lighter mood with “Tasty”, a proper Tech-House banger serving us feisty percussions and an incredibly catchy groove. A new edition on SNOE, Alec Troniq is setting the standard of what to expect from him with “We’ve Been 1000”. The track shows his mastery of uplifting, proper club music through its strong characteristics made up by the solid bassline and the crooked and, oh so charming, synth work. Our Dutch friends Kamara’s track “Motor City” perfectly rounds up the EP with it’s addictive groove rolling climaxing in a dreamy break taking it to the next level. We have been very lucky to have so many high qualitative tracks coming together for our second SNOEflakes, now it is your turn to enjoy.

Montreal artist @Kora-musique takes the next steps for recently launched New York label Earthly Delights, an imprint centred on spotlighting talents pushing the boundaries of electronic blends. The Canadian producer and DJ picks up the mantle from Yor Kultura, who provided the labels first release in a three tracker titled 'Odyssey'. Kora comes to the label after the well received 'Nuit D'Afrique' and 'Ovo' on Kindisch in November. He treats Earthly Delights to two original cuts in 'Fragile' and 'Vayu'. The pair have already seen much support  from the likes of Acid Pauli, Hernan Cattaneo, Oliver Schories, as well as heavy rotation on the playa. White Ocean founder Timujin supplies the remix action, reworking his own top notch version of 'Fragile'. Today, we're very excited to present to you in full premiere 'Fragile' in its original mix. This is an incredibly emotive cut, which fuses two distant worlds in one exquisite concoction. Soft pads, beautiful rhythms and a distinct eastern vibe mark the latest footprint in the journey of the young music maker. Release date - January 16th, 2017.

Das zweite Release des noch jungen Labels @delightsearthly steht in den Startlöchern. Um kulturelle und vielfältige Musik zu veröffentlichen, haben sich die Macher für eine EP des Kanadiers @kora-musique, der bereits auf Kindisch publizierte, entschieden. Am 16. Januar 2017 soll seine Deep-House-Kollektion „Fragile“ in digitaler Version erscheinen. Gleich der Opener der EP, „Vayu“, ist ein wunderschön strukturiertes Werk geworden, das von einer melodischen Wärme überschwemmt wird. Kora zeigt mit der Produktion eine gewisse Leichtigkeit und eine zarte Annäherung an Drums, während arabischer Gesang die Nummer abrundet. (...) Ein Remix kommt von @timur-sardarov alias Timujin. Following up on his releases via Moodmusic, Crossfrontier and Save Us Records, Berlin DJ @affects has recently worked with Mexican record label @anathemarecords to release his new Deep House EP titled “Veritas”. “I wanted to work with a singer for quite a while now”, says the young artist. At first, the original track was created without vocals but then AFFECT! found the perfect voice in Lukas Weinmann. (...) Two remixes were created by Diynamic Music’s @thyladomid and @philippkempnich of Einmusika Recordings.

Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki’s main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted.  Friedrichshain, one of Berlin’s vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver’s heart. With great anticipation co label owner Renato finally drops his debut EP on Chocolat Records in emphatic style. A two track EP “Flori” including a remix from AFFECT!

We open the EP with the title track Flori. With double kicks and an ominous arp Renato starts us off enticing our senses. The lead baseline is introduced with a calming attitude as the grooving percussion builds, as we lead into the break this groover is determined as new arps are introduced and the lead synth takes the stage. The composition keeps one engaged with automated elements at every turn, harmonious in it's natural state, “Flori" has an undeniable flow with sounds that can not be better suited for one another. An intelligent and classy dance floor energizer that will have one throwing their hips into a journey.

Next in line “Terra” joins “Flori" in Renato’s offering. Terra starts off with an airiness and a sense of wonder until we are reminded it's time to get the body moving with a solid kick and two swaying arps. A deep lying baseline holds the movement together, while the percussion progresses. That sense of wonder is revisited with the lead synth singing a sweet melody as other synths and arps pan and automate beautifully in the foreground. The type of number to enjoy for a different reason every time.

The later is AFFECT!’s take on Renato’s “Flori”. Without hesitation we jump straight in with the main arp and a teasing kick, hat combination. As we build up to the break other arps are introduced along with the lead synth as we approach the first drop with a deep saw baseline. The lazy percussion promotes much groove as this remix progresses. Harmonies are later introduced with new elements in this wonderful take on Renato’s “Flori”.

"After his massive 2k16-single „Knock Knock Knock Knock“ we see Alec Troniq deliver another equally strong release on Formatik Records these days, once again proving that this young, aspiring producer is ready to kick some ass with his on point productions which have been rinsed heavily by the label heads of Format:B throughout the past months. The title track „Hotch Kick“ leads us straight to the heart of the dancefloors with a grinding, toolish intro sequence before a well-lively synth motif and epic, slightly distorted signals are setting the roof on fire, even in open air parties with no roof at all. This tune's a weapon of mass euphoria! With its title „Why Not Bizarre“ the second tune on this weighs in a little bit of a sexual connotation even before the first bassdrum kicks in to cater a slow and marchin, yet well technoid foundation for dark bassment parties yearning for a little bit of risky dancefloor eroticism and killer stab fire."

In the summer of 1996 I bought a CD called In Order To Dance 5.
The music was intriguing to say the least. It was an introduction to all kinds of techno, from experimental, hard or minimal, to soulful and warm.
One of the tracks that stood out for me was Mengs Theme by Point Blank AKA Secret Cinema. It was a 7,5 minute intense musical trip with overwhelming repetitive melodies and hunting percussion.
Mengs Theme remained one of my very favorite tracks since that summer.
Re-releasing it on Green with my own remix is nothing but a big honour.
