Absolence is the Minimal/ Progressive Psy-Trance project of Guillermo Villalobos. Hailing from the coastal shores of Ballito on the outskirts of Durban, Absolence boasts an innovative and refreshing stylistic blend of music that transcends the boundaries of rationality. He has a unique ability to transmit an infectious energy that not only uplifts but inspires his audience.

His musical disposition is distinctively versatile in its ability to transgress from the norms and take an energetic, fresh and funky approach toward music. It was Absolence’s time studying at the Soul Candi Institute of Music in Cape Town, which reinforced his passion for music.

Having already played at some of the most prestigious venues and parties across Cape Town such as; Equinox, Sideshow, Affinity, Mungus Fungus and the DF2 Yacht parties, Absolence is progressively making a name for himself. Having been a once aspiring electro artist, Absolence has moved to greener pastures in his new found love for Minimal and Progressive Psy-Trance.

Absolence has an inimitable knack for creating a musical sanctuary with his melodic and whimsical progression, complimented by blissful bass lines which set the tone for pure musical ecstasy.
