Token celebrates its 100th release with Luke Slater, a legend of the genre, releasing under one of his most iconic aliases: Planetary Assault Systems. For over 25 years, Slater has delivered unparalleled quality in his music - a formative figure in Techno and instrumental in defining the sound globally, few can touch the Brit for depth, urgency and hit rate.

Exhibiting near enough perfect renditions of classic dance-floor moods, the four track EP is a wrought iron rollercoaster through some of the artist’s most exacting work. Booming opener Bang Wap chugs unrelentingly while a lithe FX line does the bulk of the movement in the high mid range - building tension before a satisfying release in the last quarter. A2 Bolt is classic Planetary Assault Systems - hypnotic and driving with a single sequence dipping in and out of view. On the flip, Say It Loud could be an idiosyncratic hit waiting to happen - dry and tight in the drum department for maximum effect, and featuring a recurring vocal sample chopped and skewed for tension. Closer Shine takes a deeper, more psychedelic route with shades of the classic, jacking Detroit sound in the pitch bent lead line, but maintains the energy throughout with stylish delay sends upping the ante where required, all in all delivering a neat finish to the EP.

Find the point of coincidence between clutter and clarity. Lunatik proposes a mental and emotional sound, a sound that brings out the emotions that each one has in the soul, in a language that the soul understands, but that will never translate. 

Born and raised in Rome, into a family of musicians, he began to approach the world of music through piano and violin and then to electronic music as a producer and DJ. 

On November 2016 he debuts with a 4 hours DJ set at Tresor Berlin. On January ‘17 Mixmag includes his first vinyl single into the Chart “Releases to ear on January”. Also was in top ten underground charts on djshop.de for a few weeks. 2018 is an year of growth, playing in more than 30 clubs throughout Europe. 

During 2019 he becomes part of Analphabeat, Goa Club’s resident party and makes his debut in Asia, playing at Contact Tokyo, Dommune in Takamatsu and other places around Japan.

To say that Dimi Angélis has been around, is to state the obvious. When during the late nineties techno first got hold in The Netherlands, Dimi was there to help shape the culture that would see it flourish. Promoting raves and warehouse parties in Amsterdam and putting his first needle on a record back when ‘underground’ actually meant something, he has since built a career that spans two decades. His craftsmanship is based on emotion, honesty and the from belief that music has the power to move and educate. Over time his path has taken him everywhere from Berghain and Awakenings to Under Club and Dekmantel. 

Besides playing records, Dimi is an avid producer. After teaming up with Jeroen Search in 2004, the first half of his twenty-odd active years saw him release a string of sought-after EP’s and LP’s on Mission (6277/Axis), Stockholm LTD and their co-owned A&S label. Now, as the beginning of a third decade draws closer, Dimi’s been equally successful in putting out solo music on Mord, Warm Up Recordings, Axis Records, KEY Vinyl, Construct Re- Form, Krill Music, Falling Ethics and his own ANGLS imprint. Much like Dimi's ANGLS is a platform for open and straightforward techno, helping to shape the genre for another two decades to come.
