Am|Phase 001 is an exploration of culture and emotion. Travel, landscape, people have shaped this record in order to make the listener’s mind entering a world that belongs to him. Modular synthesizer is the heart of the EP and acoustic instruments are jamming around in a genuine and deep way. 
We hope this first release of Am|Phase will transports you and give you as much pleasure it gave us to create it.

Here is the recording of my 3h set at Tresor New Faces hosted by Distinkt Agency on May 10th, 2023. 

I have collected all my favorite tracks since my very beginning as a DJ until now + some unreleased material & tracks which I have never played before. 

A big thanks to Distinkt Agency for invite and trust, to all producers who shared their unreleased stuff. To Austin for recording this set and to all friends who showed up to support me <3

u.r.trax is a DJ, Producer and vocalist from Paris, France. With vinyl, synthesizers, turntables and RCA cables as roommates, a keen eye and a sharp tongue, she cultivated this difference and carried out her first electronic experiments by launching herself into an almost obsessive relationship with music, which she nurtures by playing every day. The time she doesn't spend composing or mixing, she uses to imagine new ways of enriching her project. A jack-of-all-trades and a bit of a geek, she is constantly looking into new creative tools: deepfake, 3D, algorithms. But until she can control her turntables with her mind, it's her body that serves as her work tool, and which has to keep up with the frantic tempo of the DJ life.

From trippy techno to rough and cold electro and “backroom” dark trance, u.r.trax advocates an “immersive music for the mind», cultivating a unique sound at the crossroads of all her musical influences.
In 2020, she released her first record “Folge Mir” on Hector Oaks’ KAOS and in 2021, dropped her debut EP “Moral Krisis” on the sub-label she was offered : “KAOS-URTRAX”. 
Her early tracks have been tinted with a classic and driving techno sound. However, her releases on Nina Kraviz’ trip recordings and her single “Br0ken” on Ellen Alien’s BPitch marked the beginning of a new era of musical experiments. Her first album Third Ear (trip recordings), released in October 2022 was an exploration of worlds, from psytrance to techno and ethereal sounds, all permeated by the artists ever changing musical identity. During this time, she has also produced remixes for Nina Kraviz, Tiga and Boys Noize, and created contemporary classic and experimental compositions for the fashion label Coperni, expanding her sonic palette and endlessly reinventing her creative persona.

Based in Lausanne in Switzerland, Anthony a.k.a Abston is above all a real music lover who has his entire life dedicated to music. 

At a very young age, he discovered Funk and Disco music with his father who was a Disc-Jockey and a Club founder. He then developed a limitless musical curiosity and a passion for records digging. Throughout the years, he will create a massive record collection and will get a very strong and impressive musical culture.

He started logically to produce his own music in 2009 and signed on labels like Monique Musique, Conceptual Record or Midnight Social Recordings. It’s in 2021 that he started his own label called Amphase Records dedicated only to Vinyl releases. 

His career on stage started a bit later in 2011 as a resident DJ in a Club. He then got in touch with big stages after his encounter with Franck Fricker and played festivals like Les Jeudis Electro or Rivages Electroniques. However, he was never far from Clubs, and played in Germany, in France and of course in Switzerland like at Folklor in Lausanne or at Audio Club in Geneva. 

All these years of great encounters, contact with the crowd, huge love for music and a perpetual and deep sound research will allow Abston to create a musical world that belongs to him.

His music invites to travel, enriched by years of hard work and passion. A travel where genres, ages and cultures are mixed and sublimed. Finally, Abston with his music gives a soul to the heart, wings to the brain and rhythm to the body.

Basé à Lausanne en Suisse, Anthony - nommé « Abston » - est avant tout un passionné dont le moteur de son existence est la musique.
 
Très jeune, il découvre la Funk et la Disco avec son père Disc-Jockey et fondateur d’un Club. Il va alors développer une curiosité musicale sans limite et une passion pour la recherche de morceaux. Il se crée au fil des années une impressionnante collection de disque et s’enrichit d’une énorme culture musicale. 

Il se lance logiquement dans la production de ses propres compositions en 2009 et va signer sur des labels comme Monique Musique, Conceptual Records ou encore Midnight Social Recordings. Et c’est en 2021 qu’il fonde son propre label, Amphase Records, qui se concentre uniquement sur le support Vinyle. 

Sa carrière sur scène commence un peu plus tard, en 2011 comme DJ résident d’un club. Il va ensuite connaître les grandes scènes après sa rencontre avec Franck Fricker et jouer en festival, notamment aux Jeudis Electro ou encore Rivages Electroniques. Il ne va cependant jamais s’éloigner des Clubs, et va jouer en Allemagne, en France et bien sûr en Suisse comme au Folklor à Lausanne ou l’Audio Club à Genève. 

Toutes ces années ponctuées de belles rencontres, de partage avec le public, de passion, d’amour pour la musique et d’une perpétuelle et acharnée recherche musicale, vont permettre à Abston de se créer un univers artistique qui lui est propre.

Sa musique est une invitation au voyage, riche d’années de travail et de recherche. Un voyage où les époques et les courants artistiques étant mêlés et sublimés. En définitive, Abston, à travers sa musique s’attache à donner une âme au cœur, des ailes à l’esprit et un rythme au corps.
