Magnet School are an American alternative rock band from Austin, TX

With a distinct sonic style that stands alone in a sea of underground music, Magnet School's unique tunings and approach to songwriting have earned them a place in Texas & Worldwide as a class act. With an EP, two studio Albums, and UK 7" vinyl release under their belt all with stellar reviews, Magnet School have garnered lots of attention and credibility on the Alternative Indie Rock, Dream Pop, & Shoegaze scenes. From being chosen as a Buzzcatcher band by Spin Magazine for their amazing debut album "Tonight we drink... Tomorrow we battle the evil at hand," to touring the UK with key shows in London, Sheffield, and Liverpool playing Will Sergeant's (Echo & The Bunneymen) FRICTION Presents where they made an instant impression. Their third release and first UK 7" single "The Sitch" was a highlight on the sampler disc for the Midem Festival in Cannes, France - they have turned heads in many places around the Globe.

Magnet School's new full length album "The Art of Telling the Truth" was released 29th January 2016 via Shifting Sounds. With the revival of the alt rock & shoegaze scenes, there couldn't have been a better time for this album to drop - it's assured to blow doors and minds. Great things ahead for this 4 piece Texas guitar driven outfit.
