OECUS Premiere | Quelza - La Valse 04 [HYSEP26]

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Hioll. "La Désolation" comes off the forthcoming LP, Velvet Revolution, out October 4th on Havana's Abstraction. This is a killer track off an excellent album purely intended to be used in DJ sets at clubs and raves.  Taking the groove as a flag and adding adjacent elements, the narrative of these cuts makes them intertwine with each other, leading us on a sonic journey similar to a session at any venue. It should also be noted that, like other Hioll works, it aims to send a message of reflection and accurate criticism towards this contemporary era.

"Slow Sucker", es un corte laborioso y chuggy. Una voz resuena a través de la explosiva combinación de bombo y caja, un elemento que Klein usa inteligentemente con moderación durante la pista. Una línea de base distorsionada se cierne sobre un sintetizador oscilante que cubre un impenetrable velo de oscuridad, creando una vez mas una atmósfera especial marca y sello del aleman.

The gang of four that is Selección Natural (@oscarmulero, Reeko and the @exium duo) have a new waxed weapon in their arsenal and as expected, it bites. 

The release date of this record, was supposed to be the celebration of @polegroup's 10th Anniversary with a massive weekend party at Tresor Berlin... but it is not. Things have made a twist and as you may have perceived there is not much to celebrate together, physically, as the label likes celebrations to be done. There will be days to celebrate whenever we can gather together again. In the meanwhile enjoy this slice of vinyl.

Three slices of complex futuristic beats with no mercy. As in previous sound exercises, they have collide in the studio, each one with his preferred tools, recording bites, mutating audios, twisting frequencies, and this is the result: "MG009" is a mechanical tool constructed over a concrete drum architecture, surrounded with bleeps, distorted drones and cutting hi-hats. All the elements come and go wisely creating an obsessive atmosphere.

After a one-year hiatus, Setaoc Mass returns to his own SK11 imprint with fresh double EP pack ‘’Neo-Noir’’.  Drawing on influences from past and present, the productions explore the full spectrum between functional and experimental, moving between the perpetual drive, bleep-laden opener ‘Inferno’ to headier, rolling cuts ‘Technique’ and ’Neo-Noir’, whilst ‘Moon lit Eyes’ taps into more abstracted, IDM related elements with the wilting melodies and refracted drum patterns recalling classic Manchester electronica of Autechre or Bola.  The second disc reverts back to re-fix its floor-focus, opening with the boundless, atmospheric shuffle of ‘Don’t Come Find Me’, followed by the more warped ‘The Trip Commander’ and tense minimalism of ‘Driving In Circles’, whilst ‘Moon Groove’ flaunts a dreamier expanse set within a crisp electro framework.

Abstract Division is a long-standing collaboration of Paul Boex and Dave Miller, a Dutch electronic music producer and DJ duo. Next to running their label Dynamic Reflection and its sub-label Morphologies, they stimulated the Dutch underground scene with their well-known DECODE parties.

With over 30 years of collective experience under their belt, the established duo of Abstract Division is bringing deep, hypnotic and energetic techno sets to any club, rave or festival. They have performed at prominent festivals like Awakenings, Monegros Desert Festival, Time Warp, BAUM Festival, Audioriver, Loveland and some of the best venues including Berghain, Fuse, Fabrik Madrid, RSO, Radion and many more.

During many years of collaboration, the duo managed to create their own unique sound. Their in-depth knowledge of sound engineering enables them to release year after year refreshing productions and each new track marks a subtle evolution in sound.
