Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2010, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, six years in to the game, Skankandbass decides to take on the role of a record label to put together a series of free download singles which aims to further help spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.

SNB008 comes from Cruk, a seriously talented producer dabbling in drum & bass and Neurofunk since 2010, and occasionally other genres under 'blues'. Having racked up strong support from the likes of Noisia, Mefjus, Icicle, S.P.Y, Joe Ford, Billain, Maztek, Jade, Memtrix, Black Sun Empire and many more, with production levels this high, the sky's the limit for Cruk!

I have decided to take a more active stand against racism! I have lived in a bubble for a long time where there were never any racist intentions, and I have never directly encountered racism. But I realized what everyday racism actually means... Even though I never had the intention to be racist, racist interactions or expressions have happened to everyone. Everybody should be aware of what everyday racism means! In my opinion not only the extreme fringe groups like the right-wing scene are the problem, its more the subliminal racism in everyday racism. I would like to use my reach and make a small change with my music and draw attention to this problem. All income from this song will be donated to ISD!
