VTO proudly unveils CODE:HER, a project long in the making and landing on the weekend of International Women’s Day.

This EP shines a spotlight on powerhouse women producers of Neurofunk and Drum and bass music as a whole and showcasing the varied and cultivating sounds that women bring to the culture and the dancefloor.

CODE:HER is more than a collection of tracks; it’s a statement, a message of empowerment and a celebration of women dominating within the Neurofunk realm.

We are VTO Records thought it would be only fitting to step aside for this release and leave the whole curating and planning to the women themselves with MEL leading the way as a guest curator and decision maker for this whole project.

Neurofunk drum and bass is evolving at a rapid pace and women are at the forefront of this music, championing hard and laying roots into the sound itself.

This release brings together fierce creativity, technical mastery, and uncompromising vision, proving that these artists aren’t just participating in the scene… they’re redefining it.

i/ MEL - “Enigma”

The curator and driving force behind this EP, MEL steps back into VTO with `Enigma` - her fiercest work to date. A razor-wired neuro weapon built from snarling reeses and pressure-cooker
tension.

After teasing the scene with the sampler last week, MEL certainly sets the tone for the project.

ii/ Siren - “Self Destruct”

After a standout 2025 with heavyweight signings on Blackout and Eatbrain, Siren storms into 2026 with her debut on VTO. Self Destruct is pure, unfiltered aggression: high-impact and built for
maximum damage on the dancefloor.

No fluff. No compromise. Just a full-throttle rave detonator.

iii/ TheLena - “Drifting”

Making her VTO debut, Sounds of Ukraine’s leading lady, TheLena, arrives with `Drifting` - an adrenaline-soaked fusion of rave stabs, amens and unrestrained Neuro nastiness.

What begins with electrifying tension quickly twists into a full, face-melting barrage. A curveball track that demands attention from start to finish.

iv/ Jane Doe - “Knock Out”

Australia’s reigning Neurofunk queen and one of our 5 in-house artists, returns to her VTO stomping ground with `Knock Out`.

True to its name, this track swings hard - a high-energy onslaught packed with signature Jane Doe grit, attitude and explosive Neuro power. She’s back, and sharper than ever.

Brazilian producer Dunk teams up once again with Midlands newcomer Rebel for their second collaborative release, the “187 EP”, a three-track collection of deep, gritty rolling drum & bass rooted in dark moody vibes and heavyweight pressure.

Following their 2025 collaboration on the Decoding The Cypher EP for Dirtbox, the pair return with a release that reflects their shared focus on stripped-back, functional dancefloor music. Across the EP, the sound is raw and direct, built around tight drums, weighty basslines and a deep underground edge.

“Body Bag” sets the tone with driving rhythms and a restrained but powerful arrangement, balancing Dunk’s precise minimal approach with Rebel’s raw roller influence. “The Grip” follows with tense atmospheres and rolling momentum, designed for late-night sets and sound system environments where pressure and control are key elements. Dunk closes the EP with his solo track “Rocksteady”, a dark and focused production that leans into his signature style of snapping percussion, heavy subs and clean, purposeful arrangement.

Originally from São Paulo, Dunk has become known for his consistent output and stripped-back approach to drum & bass, shaping tracks that hit hard while keeping space and clarity at their core. Formerly one half of Jam Thieves, he has continued to build a strong solo catalogue, releasing on labels including Spearhead, Program, Sub-liminal, Fast Soul Music, Play Me, Formation and more. His productions have earned a reputation among DJs for their reliability on dancefloors and their attention to sound system detail.

Rebel, a producer and DJ with roots stretching back to the mid-90s, brings a raw underground influence shaped by tech-step and jungle foundations. With releases on Shadownet Recordings and Brainrave Music, and recent collaborations with artists including Dunk, Victim and Tactic, he continues to develop a sound centred around rolling energy and dark atmosphere.

Together, the pair deliver three tracks that stay true to the underground ethos: heavy, focused drum & bass built for movement, weight and late-night pressure.

@Human_Made Makes Rare Label Appearance with “Metro  EP” on Dirtbox Recordings Dirtbox Recordings proudly welcomes Russian producer Human Made for his debut appearance on the label with the release of “Metro EP”, a three–track collection of uncompromising drum & bass built for maximum impact on the dance floor.

Known primarily for his productions on the formidable Paperfunk Recordings, Human Made (Noskov) seldom ventures beyond his home label or outside releases in his native Russia.

That makes Metro EP a particularly special moment, as Dirtbox Recordings finally brings a producer they have long admired into the fold.

After keeping a close eye on Noskov’s work for some time, the Dirtbox team knew his sound would be a perfect match for the label’s heavier side. The result is a release packed with serious damage starters designed to shake any system they touch. 

Opening the EP is “Uralmash”, a fittingly titled intro inspired by the heavy machinery manufacturing giant of the Russian engineering corporation OMZ. True to its name, the track delivers industrial-strength basslines and crushing sounds as a heavy-duty end-of-the-night weapon built to bend dance
floors.

Next up is “999”, a truly haunting roller driven by deep tech sub-bass and eerie, creeping synth work. 

The atmosphere is thick and uneasy, pulling listeners into a dark sonic space while maintaining relentless forward momentum.

Closing out the EP is “Mistake”, a warped and energetic roller that sits somewhere in the realm of Simula meeting Paperclip. 

Packed with intricate processing and weighty synth layers, the track keeps the pressure on from start to finish with a tightly engineered, rolling groove.

With Metro EP, Human Made delivers a powerful statement and a standout debut for Dirtbox Recordings, showcasing a producer whose sound continues to evolve while staying rooted in the darker edges of drum & bass.

I started making music decades ago when I was younger. First emo, then deathcore, and then death metal. Years later I got into drum and bass. 

Eventually I tried out DJing and it wasn't long before I started producing. I love the harder styles of music and have never enjoyed making any kind of music as much as this.

DJ kamineo est né en 1978 à Clermont Ferrand, en France.

Passionné de musique électronique et de hip-hop.C'est en 1999 qu'il a pu acheter ses premières platines. Quelques mois plus tard, il a commencé à mixer et à se produire dans des soirées gratuites et bar . En 2000, il découvre la drum and bass qui devient sa musique favorite. En 2002, il rejoint le karlkargckrew et commence à se produire au Bambar. Mais depuis 2008, il consacre tout son temps à la composition.

En 2014, il produit un remix de loadstar dr Krak sous le label RAM.

Fin 2016, il démarre une émission de style DNB grâce à la radio campus 93.3 Clermont Ferrand sur le mouvement Jungle, Liquid funk et neuro.

2017 Déimos sort le remix kat sous le label hidden company  et continue de faire son live DNB Style avec platine sous Tracktor sur l'antenne de radio campus 93.3 Clermont Ferrand.
