Chapultepec (“grasshopper hill” in Nahuatl) has been a vital part of Mexico City for almost 600 years. A hydraulic marvel designed by the texcocan Tlatoani Nezahualcóyotl to work as a lung in one of the biggest cities on the planet. 

Throughout 19 tracks Lao explores the imaginative and timeless possibilities of Chapultepec in the form of deep melodies, organic textures, and tribal percussive patterns influenced by Jungle and Rave. The album is a homage to CDMX, the Mexican electronic music scene, and its dancefloor for the last 15 years.

Err0r_437 is a digital descent into system failure.

The EP begins with a simple boot sequence, but quickly spirals into corrupted memories, fatal crashes, and broken fragments of data. Each track represents a stage of collapse, blending heavy bass with glitch aesthetics to simulate a computer losing control of itself.

From the first error message to the final attempt at reboot, this project is a sonic journey through chaos and distortion — until silence is the only thing left.

27 Year old Menzi Shabane from the Umlazi township of Durban South Africa was one of the early pioneers of the cities now world famous Gqom scene, having rose to prominence as one half of the Infamous Boiz. In the last few years Menzi has produced for many of South Africa's biggest acts like Babes Wodumo, Moonchild Sanelly, Mahotella Queens, Zolani Mahola and Zakes Bantwini. For the last few years has also been organizing Durban's largest annual Goqm Bloq Party called Festive Road Block Umlazi.

Impazamo presents his debut release. A six track ep that explores his signature dark left field gqom productions that have been rocking Durban nightclubs over the past few years. Over the years he has crafted a unique sound exploring Gqoms textures within different arrangements from the genres usual track structure. The ep also includes a collaboration with Uganda MC Ecko Bazz with the track GQOM Tera.


All tracks recorded between 2019 - 2020 in Umlazi Durban and Boutiq Studios Kampala, Uganda.
