I prepared this set for the Medicine Festival over several months of travels and adventures. Each song came as if in magical and sacred moments, joyfully condensed into a story of drums and extasis. And so was the dance floor. A horde of goblins and wizards and witches and gnomes and elves and madmen jumping up and down and celebrating life. 

So grateful to the Medicine Festival family for a festival of so much love and so many rituals of love, and for letting me open the night stage at prime time, allowing a naughty dance of medicine people. 

Sometimes an important thing to remember is that festivals are also ceremonies, and one of the oldest ones. May the party never end :)

Sharing The Vibe Special 2nd Birthday Set by Don Juan Mezcal

The sound of desert blues has been a major influence on my musical taste since I first came into contact with it in my early teenage years. The expression of the culture of the traditionally nomadic people of the Sahara region is a beautiful blend of many different styles that speak to my soul. 

In this ecstatic desert dance mix, I've compiled some of the original gems and many great edits from some of my favorite producers. The second anniversary of the FB group "Sharing the Vibe" is a perfect opportunity to share these amazing grooves with a fine heart community who appreciate these treasures as much as I do. Oh what a gorgeous, unforgettable Thursday night! The floor was packed under the roof of the yurts when it began raining cats and dogs. Electricity went off 3 times (!!) due to water in the cabling - music off, lights off, total darkness - but each time the crowd began singing, stomping feet and clapping hands until power came back again. What a great atmosphere, everyone so excited! In the end I had to exceed the closing time, people just wouldn't let me stop playing - until security finally sent us all to bed :)

Combining the organic and shamanic Live Looping style of Janax Pacha with a refined sonic aesthetic, we are exploring new dimensions of possibilities live sets. This set is completely live and improvised in the moment, feeding off the energy of our surrounding and audience... it is a completely new experience every time.

We performed this set recently together at the beautiful Tree House Tulum, where the jungle meets the ocean under the moon and stars. This music is a pure reflection of our essence as humans and artists, both individually and together. We are mirrors of each other and of you.
