Driven by the need to create something of their own, the Venice-based duo “Straahl" came up with their first EP, "Nowhere”. The EP is the beginning of a new adventure to be followed in the next years.

“Nowhere” starts in with the foggy downtempo track "Meanwhile". This track combines Hardcore kicks with arpeggios that variate in intensity, spicing up the rhythm. 

The second track, “Floating Fear”, is a hymn to Courage. This vivid track is characterized by atmospheric sounds and moans, blending like cries of anger screamed by the brass.

The last track is “Alex Sanderson”. Who is Alex Sanderson? Alex is the inner craziness hidden in ourselves, the aim of the track is to pull it out. 

"Nowhere" can be defined as a fluid space full of mirrors, a dynamic dimension, where our consciousness resonates, fragmenting in every aspect.

"The Great Pacific Garbage Plot or Pacific Trash Vortex is an accumulation of anthropogenic garbage in the North Pacific Ocean.
Rough estimates of the area are considered from 700 thousands km² to 1.5 million km² and more. There are probably over one hundred million tons of garbage in this area.
Unlike biodegradable waste, plastic under the influence of light only breaks down into small particles, while maintaining the polymer structure. The decay goes down to the molecular level.
More and more small particles are concentrated in the surface layer of the ocean, and as a result, marine organisms that live here begin to eat them, confusing them with plankton. Thus, due to the high concentration in neuston, plastic waste is included in the food chain...
The Pacific Ocean is under anthropogenic pressure with classic negative impacts. Here, just like on land, there is pollution with garbage and chemicals, as well as the massive destruction of the animal world..."

Some sonic communities grow even in isolation, in the lonely obsessive moments in the studio as time melts away. Deep inside the Detroit Underground nests a Berlin underground, chasing those resonant shared sounds. DU Berlin draws together some of that love felt through music in the German capital. It’s not the wild city of reunification or *Berlin Calling* or tourist-style movies or the EasyJet set. This is the side of the city that endlessly romances machines for the sheer joy of it, as The Allegorist titles her track, “until dawn.” And with some big names and emerging, ranging from mainstays to veteran agitators, the Berlin DU crew have telegraphed each other through productions and mutual inspiration. The results vibrate and rumble with sympathetic frequencies, but are never limited to grayscale or dithered palettes.

The Cybordelics classic "Adventures of Dama" has never lost its popularity since it´s first released in 1993. The original track on the Harthouse label landed at number 2 at the British club charts. After numerous live performances, Mike S., Milan Zemanec and Daniel Varga split up in 1994 and dissolved Cybordelics. But “Adventures of Dama” was kept alive for almost three decades by many well-known artists, remixed or reinterpreted.
Harthouse revived this tradition in 2019 with four further remixes (which were also released on vinyl). Another round of “Adventures of Dama” will be heralded at the end of 2021: The new Remix EP starts with a rework version by George, who pulls out all the stops and discovers completely new facets in “Adventures of Dama”. The second remix by Cie works out the essence of the classic and steams the track down to its essence. The third track by Mar Io moves back a gear and negotiates “Adventures of Dama” in a dreamlike landscape. The Remix EP closes with a Philipp Gabel Remix, which above all refines and celebrates the rhythmic quality of the original.
On 2023 the classic track has become a real treat especially with the sensational club remix of Adventures of Dama (Cybordelics) by Noxious Element.

"Dubs" is a project that we'd talked about for a couple of years but never really had the time to focus on, as it required a lot of research and leg work to put together. We eventually started in January of 2020 but little did we know what would be happening by March.

"Dubs" deals with our history in Sheffield and The Black Dog, sometimes literal and sometimes not. Come with us on a journey through music, photography and words, as we try to explain our relationship with Sheffield in the best way we can.
