This is in honor and memory of Mario Julian Benassi, who passed away by the hands of the Yuba River on June 26 2018. Mario is a benevolent angel being of love and light who has blessed us all with his presence here on Earth. Nibana is the project of Kevin B, a French producer born and raised in France.
Greatly influenced by Pink Floyd, Tool, Aphex Twin and others, from the age of 10 years Kevin started self-taught production by practicing all the instruments he could find and create all kind of music styles without limitations.

From the creation of a metal band to his electronic project in 2012, many influences can be found in Nibana's Live-Acts : From his Chillout side (Psybient / Downtempo), melodic and aerial, including guitar leads, chant and raw synths, to his total opposite Psytrance project with industrial and intelligent fxs surounded by deep and dark atmospheres and melodies.

In 2014, he released a new album entitled "ASK THE UNIVERSE" on Maia Brasil Records. Without any expectations, it exceeded the 15,000 downloads in less than 3 months and made Nibana in the top 3 "Upcoming Artist" on Psybient.org also chillout top 1 album on reddit & stayed at the top charts of Ektoplazm for more than 2 months.

In 2015, Nibana signed his Psytrance side on OVNI Records and released in April 2016 his brand new album "TALES OF THE UNCANNY" including two collaborations with Ajja and Mark Day. TOTU was praised as one of the most unexpected and best releases of the year.

He already had the opportunity to play on international parties & festivals such as Ozora (Hungary), All Stars (Canada), Shankra (Switzerland) and is currently working (or had worked) with multiple renowed artists of the psychedelic scene.

Moving through the seasons with this experimental psychedelic set I recorded live at the end of March 2019 on support for @desertdwellers in Tempe, AZ. 

I've been wanting to create a DJ set made up of three distinct parts — emulating the three-act structure of many stories — for a while now, and this is my first tried and true attempt at it. My intention was to keep the vibe flowing through three energeric crests whIle maIntaInIng movement from start to finish. I ended up digging deep into my collection to make this work, pulling some forgotten classics from over the years and mashing them up with more recent tracks from some of my friends, peers, and inspirers.

The Rust Music is hosting a mini-mix series to highlight some of the stalwart underground talent taking the stage that weekend. The latest installment comes from Mike Wallis, the reserved, veteran producer who takes us on a journey through his personal record collection. Singling out his favorite eclectic downtempo cuts from over the years, this mix is awash with salient textures and nuance.

Mike Wallis produces original, freeform electronic music under K.L.O, Osmetic, and a host of other names. At Lakewood, he’ll be spinning music from any and all of his projects, and just about anything else he’s collected across 20 years of audiophilia. Reflecting this, his mini-mix crawls across a spectrum of tones and flavors with broken-beat rhythms and soft-edged synthesis. In the depth of night at Elements Lakewood, headlining The Rust Music’s Theatre Stage takeover, Mike Wallis is sure to tickle synapses and open up more than one deep rabbit hole.
