An ode to failure!

Departing from the image of the genius artists, the Hit&Miss compilation wants to show the hidden parts of creation, by embracing missteps and abandonment as a natural part of any artistic journey. 

Open to all members of the Global URL Nation, it proposed a new home for projects that couldn't find a place to exist otherwise, due to artistic (self-)exigency, technical problems, bad timing or any other reason often unknown to the general public. 

With more than 20 artists from a broad range of styles, experience and locations, it gathers unfinished projects such as aborted WIP, forgotten drafts, lost files, unconvincing demos, compulsive emotional bursts or technical experimentations. 

With all its flaws and raw cuts, Hit&Miss asserts the strength of trial and error, and cherishes the impossibility to develop an idea into a finished object as a learning process towards one's growth.

∎ POL100 is an experimental sound artist and music producer based in Ferrara, Italy. Since 2014 under this moniker, he explores inner moods and states of being through the curation of sound details, absorption of audio stimuli, and deconstruction of various genres to shape them into a flow of sounds in perpetual evolution. His music is a sonic hot pot of ambient, bass breaks and abstract sounds with releases on labels such as Katharsis, Champ Libre, Bound Center, Du Coeur Records and more. 

∎ Cecco Meraviglia is a visual artist based in Treviso, Italy. Using digital art and graphic design, he developed a practice based on 3D manipulation and graphic languages, with great care given to details and the reappropriation of natural elements. Working with numerous media, artists, and institutions, he has created for Coeval Magazine, Vogue, fashion brands and music labels such as Universal or Warner.

Dear Friends and Ocean Lovers,

This Earth Day, we are excited to share Origines Vol. 01: Ambient Album for the Ocean, a fundraiser with 100% of net proceeds from Bandcamp sales supporting BC Whales and their marine conservation efforts.

Curated by Kora and Saisons Musique, Origines brings together diverse artists from around the world united by a common purpose: to honour and protect our oceans. The title reflects the profound truth that all life on Earth originated from the ocean—we are all connected to the water womb that birthed life itself.

The album features stunning visual art by Ioana Todosia: "Estero" Cyanotype textile print created on Pacific Coast of Oaxaca, MX. Ioana creates sun prints by dipping cloth into the ocean, allowing nature itself to create the art—capturing the traces where tide meets shore.

From Montreal to Oaxaca, Australia to Argentina, this international soundscape celebrates our global community while serving as both an ambient journey and a call to action. Each track is designed to foster reconnection—within ourselves, with each other, and with our planet, offering moments of reflection, resilience, and renewal.

The artists behind Origines believe in the power of art to inspire change. Together, we keep hope we can make a difference in protecting the oceans and the majestic beings that call them home.
