This song is very special to me as it’s about my momma. It tells the story of her growing up in New Orleans, a young girl living during segregation, bringing up 4 kids as a single mother, losing everything in 3 major Hurricanes (including Hurricane Katrina)...plus her name sounds like Superman’s girlfriend ‘Lois Lane’ (which I reference in the song).
