✦ The Low Down ✦

Quite the unique soundcast this week, with a vs set between two heavyweight names in the Aus festival scene. XAPHAN vs AZRIN. 

Matt Azrin's two aliases battle it out in a typical "techno vs psytrance" match. Matt's been at the forefront of the psychedelic scene for quite a few years now. A world renowned DJ who's performed on the big stage across the globe. Whilst featuring at some of Australia's biggest festivals such as Rainbow Serpent, Eclipse Festival, Strawberry Fields etc, He's also the label DJ for Zenon Records and Merkaba Music, blending his distinct style of psygressive, psychedelic trance, psychill and ofcourse, doof techno. 

This set is a 2 hour journey that starts of in Techno Ville before ending up in full on Zenon stomp. Untz levels are peaking, quite fitting for the day that we've just had as Victoria has just endured the biggest earthquake to date. 

Prepare to slap some walls about it.

Amrit (IN) is a Indian artist based out of Chennai. His early head start into the field of sheet music in 2003 let him to where he is now. Always fascinated by live music, he started writing his own tunes in 2009 transitioning between multiple genres. He has been in minimal and psytech scene for the past 6 years still expanding his horizons with respect to music in general. Adding improv live sounds to his productions/sets is his niche and he is currently signed to labels like Soupherb, PointZer0, his home label Subtrail with multiple single releases on the imprints and two EPs already out. His music has been supported by various artists around the world at various festivals like Mo:Dem, Sisyphos and the likes.
