Meditation isn’t what you think it is.

It doesn’t have to be complicated, or even quiet.   You don’t have to sit in a cross-legged position with your hands in a mudra (you don’t even have to sit upright).   It’s not about clearing the mind.   Meditation can be accessible to everyone, because there are many ways to meditate. Meditation isn’t mindfulness. Meditation is a practice that brings you closer to who you are. 

I’ve been meditating for a long time, but took six months of study with David Harshada Wagner to learn how to teach meditation specifically. 

Meditation, by the way, isn’t just for being more at peace (though that certainly is a path for many). It’s about connecting to joy, experiencing ecstasy in everyday moments, it’s about witnessing who you are from a clearer lens.

When I first met Stacey Sexton, it was through a breathwork mentorship program led by Erin Telford. Stacey is the co-creator of The Sex Oil, and is also a breathwork healer. She's a brave, tell-it-like-it-is kind of woman that I found to be more and more amazing, as I got to know her. 

I learned a lot about Stacey, about her business - she shared a BIG SECRET about her business -  being a mom, and more. I love the story of her magical (literally) childhood in New Orleans, her grandma Ruby, and how she got called into this sacred life.

We recorded our conversation in a big, airy conference room at The Wing in SoHo. Keep that in mind when noticing the sound.
