Intense abstract sonic construction (and deconstruction)

Well, that's Christmas over for another year! I recorded this last night (26th December), but thought I would see how it sounded today before posting. The track starts off very mellow and then goes into a drum solo, before finishing with a rumpty-tumpty final section. The perfect description of the festive season, or maybe not! I do hope that you have enjoyed yours.

During the tour of PARPAR + dSCi while passing through the Asturies mountains, this big boys united noise to compose such a graceful audiobook. 
Leonel Kardashian later added some magic on top and voila! Space cake.

PARPAR + dSCi - Big band Improv

In 2010 I composed a full length score for a stage production of Kurosawa's Throne of Blood directed by Ping Chong. I studied a handful of instruments from the traditional Japanese Gagaku orchestra: ryuteki, hichiriki, sho and shakuhachi in order to perform my own samples. In this exploration I made a sample reel for the MakeNoise Morphagene and sculpted that.

Injection d'un liquide noir visqueux et electrique dans le tympan

Accidentale Trio è un progetto nato dall’incontro tra Santi Costanzo (chitarra preparata e non), Riccardo Napoli (batteria preparata) e Alessandro Grasso (desktop electronics). 

Diverse provenienze musicali che  si scontrano e si fondono in un’esperienza catartica e immersiva. Ambientazioni che attingono dal noise al dark ambient, passando dal free jazz e la musica concreta in un’alchimia improvvisativa dettata dall’imprevedibilità. 

A settembre del 2018 viene registrata Interazioni (Sopra Le Parti, 2019), una raccolta in dieci tracce frutto del primo incontro in studio. Un dialogo sonoro spontaneo e non convenzionale, nato dall’esigenza di esplorare e mettere in comune i singoli universi senza alcuna formula compositiva premeditata.

Accidentale Trio is a project by Santi Costanzo(prepared/not prepared guitar), Alessandro Grasso (desktop electronics) and Riccardo Napoli (prepared drums). 
Different musical backgrounds clashing and blending together into a cathartic and immersive experience. Settings come from noise and dark ambient, switching to free jazz and concrete music, in an alchemical improvisation driven by unpredictability.
In september 2018 they recorded Interazioni (Ed. Sopra Le Parti 001), a ten tracks collection of their first studio meeting. A free and unconventional sound dialogue, born by the need to explore and share their personal sound universes, without any premeditated composition formula.
