Following the critically acclaimed release of Golden Bug’s V.I.C.T.O.R. album last year, La Belle Records tap into some of their favourite contemporary artists and ask them for remixes. Il Est Vilaine, Red Axes, Destino, Thomass Jackson, Danny Daze, Strapontin and more all serve up sizzling results in return. 

The original album was a vital and broad affair which touched on everything from adult disco to psyche-funk, abstract atmospheres to slow-fi techno. It was another highlight in the Paris man’s esteemed discography. 

Destino is a secret project from a French producer who shows a love of deep and off-kilter grooves sprinkled with melodies and tin pot percussive sounds on his ‘Accroché à Moi’ remix.

These sounds came through a shaman guided San Pedro ceremony. This is what happened..

I was standing by a huge tree, every mythology has their tree of the world. In the north that tree is called "yggdrasil". I Closed my eyes and was told to follow the roots deep down under ground. It was completely dark, but the roots of the tree just kept leading me deeper and deeper... Finally i reached this cave... And there was a fire down there. And people standing in a circle around that fire. I was quiet, and looked at their lit up faces.

They told me they were my ancestors, and that they have been waiting for me...

Next moment i was standing by the foot of the mountain Kebnekajse. This time there were no other mountains around. just wide stretches of land. It was very windy.. I could see that old tree in the horizon. So i went back to it to sit down by its stem.

I began to hear the shaman drums calling me back to this world again.
