Percy the Small Engine's Theme (Remix Ver 2)

Commissioned by Nolan Sheridan, who wanted a Series 6 styled theme for Duck. I don't do a lot of S6-7 stuff but they are rather interesting to work with sometimes, definitely a more classical approach during this era of the show's music. 


Around this time, a lot of the signature themes became a lot more 'smooth' and let the strings and woodwinds provide the rhythm compare to let's say Series 1-4 which still liked to use cabasas to emulate pistons or kick drums to add a punch. While not as appreciated as the shows earlier music, this style of music fits the Gullane era tone perfectly.

An idea that I had close to Christmas Time last year.

This was going to be a winter theme originally but with it being hot in the UK now, I thought I'd put this idea to use and make it a 'summer' theme and of course, can't help but throw the Busy Theme motif in there. It just makes themes 10x more 'Thomassy'.

I always liked this theme for some reason. It felt very Thomas, and is easy to translate into the Mike and Junior style. I added some bass and replaced the guitar with harp while adding other backing instruments to make it sound a whole lot better.

Now for my favorite sing along, Don't Judge a Book By its Cover. This one's always been my favorite, between the message and the composition (love the "tick-tock" percussion). It was always one that I was apprehensive to recreate until recently, and I am very happy with the results. More songs coming soon, but in the meantime, enjoy this one!

Another redo from days long ago, Let's Have a Race! This was actually the second ever sing along I posted on here, but it was lost to time when I deleted it after a while. Now I present you an all new take that is here to stay. My favorite things about this song are the piano part (especially that gentle opening) and the drum track. Another one, a new one for my page, He's a Really Useful Engine! Always loved this one as kid, and massively preferred this version over the TATMRR one (Though as a kid I had know idea why). Not to say Hummie Mann's isn't good, but you can't beat the original. Enjoy!

Rules And Regulations - Instrumental Recreation Redone (Feat. Carson's Music Shop)

Here's another S5-7 mashup I whipped up today, this time it's of Thomas and Gordon's themes. This one was made more into the style of S6 rather than S5 like the Percy and James mashup I did.

I used that short Thomas/Gordon mashup from Something Fishy as a basis and added an Arco Viola instrument towards the end to give it more of a S6 feel.
