In response to an open collaboration invitation from Dirk Maassen I could not resist the opportunity to add some guitar swells and drones to accompany Dirk's beautiful piano performance and composition.

Hey. Lately I've been devoting myself more to meditation again. When I was in my twenties, I practised it more, more seriously and more intensively. Maybe too serious, too strong-willed. Today it feels more natural. When I came out of such a meditative state today, I wanted to hear and see how I improvise. So today out of curiosity, meditation and improvisation.

an improvisation I did tonight. if you happen to be awake, wherever you are in the world, this can be a lullaby goodnight. hope it brings you a sense of calm and peace.

So when I saw that Dirk let us download his gorgeous song, I jumped at the chance to add even a little bit of myself to it. It's not perfect, but I think the violin adds a beautiful touch. I hope you enjoy it Dirk. Thanks for letting me have fun with it.

And for those of you who aren't familiar with my work, I also play the piano as well.
