After the multi-dozen selling success of 'fragments' my latest 2 collaborations with Dave Bradley are shameless attempts at world domination. 

This one's the funk-pop-rock chart topper.

I'm particularly fond of the middle section where the harmonies remind me of my dear friends The Grenaways (who not only have great harmonies, but know how to keep in time the whole way through a song!)

Thematically, this one is an attempt to somewhat loosely explore the narratives and responses of Mary and Zecheriah to their visitations by angels. It takes its title from a word shared by the wonderful Robert Macfarlane, the definition of which is "the dense, durable interior of a tree's trunk, often more richly coloured than the surrounding "sapwood". Metaphorically, the deep-set aspects of a person, their inner core." Which seemed appropriate, particularly in reference to Mary.
