The Major Lazer vs Paff remix of ‘Stampede’ highlights the onslaught of the official remix package for the track which cemented Dimitri and Mike an incredible SIXTH Beatport #1 this year – preceded by ‘Ocarina’ (officially Belgium’s #1 single as we go to press), ‘Project T’, ‘Chattahoochee’, ‘Turn It Up’ and ‘Mammoth’.

All six tracks and more are sure to be musical highlights of the ‘Bringing Home The Madness’ arena shows now just days away in Belgium’s biggest stadium, Antwerp’s Sportspaleis. With production fittingly done by the creative team behind Tomorrowland and TomorrowWorld, and with the first wave of special guests now confirmed as W&W on December 20th and Nicky Romero on December 21st, the hype is reaching fever pitch. Earlier this year Desert Dwellers released their most diverse album in the duo's long career. The Great Mystery was the first full length collaborative project between the main founders Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, and featured a wide range of styles and aesthetics from downtempo and psychedelic dub to tribal trance to exotic house and techno flavors.

To celebrate the special release, Desert Dwellers have curated an ambitious two-part remix album full of contributions from some of the brightest luminaries and rising talents across the underground electronic music landscape. The Great Mystery Remixes Part 1 is slated for a September 21st release, and features sonic reinterpretations from Gaudi, Liquid Stranger, Hibernation, An-ten-nae, Kaminanda, AtYya, Tribone, Twin Shape, Land Switcher, Drumspyder, and Govinda. The second part will be released in late October with contributions from Emancipator, Whitebear, Sixis, Mystral, Supersillyus, Halfred, Master Minded, and many others. With artists from across the globe and musical genres, these carefully crafting renditions of Desert Dwellers' The Great Mystery are a potent combination of immersive soundscapes that pay a loving tribute to the original compositions.

The collaboration came about after both acts met up on the global festival circuit throughout 2012. Creative emails flew back and forth across Europe before the trio finally settled on the skeleton of ‘Mammoth’ as a potential new track. Speaking about the collaboration from his studio in Germany, MOGUAI said, “The track is not so far away from my own solo work. I said to myself, with the right mix this could be something huge, so we got into the studio together and at the end, we had the finished mix that you know now.”
 
A delicious slice of skewed electronica with ‘fist-pump’ written all over it, this titan of a track packs as much energy as it does technical class; crashing bass sections, warped synths and a huge breakdown combining the strengths of both production elements in one fell swoop. ‘Mammoth’ displays the extensive array of musical influences that these two world-renowned acts are constantly drawing their inspiration from, fusing everything together seamlessly for an anthem that will surely be an enormous smash in clubs and at festivals all over the world throughout 2013.
