Singing with heart

it is truly a great honor to be able to sing on the notes of the enchanting piano of Debra Buesking(@debra_buesking) an American talented pianist and extraordinary  composer. Her melodies take your heart and listening to this poignant melody I wrote and sang in a few hours this addition of mine that I hope does not diminish in any way the beauty of the original piece. Thank you Debbie ... I spent wonderful hours singing!

Hi again, been a while !

After five years apart from composing and creating ; I tried to take the time and not pressure myself ; making what I like and do the "best". Experiencing the lack of imagination for so long is quite difficult but, in the end, you'll find a way in the ocean of melodies and mix it up to new pieces. I'm happy to find the path to creation again, after so long. Hope you'll enjoy this very new stuff.

Had Love A Time Or Two

She is an icon of folk music, she played her guitar upside down and backwards, and she served Don a fried chicken dinner when he got an opportunity to meet her in her home in Alexandria, Va.  In return he tried to teach her the Gary Davis tune "Candyman".  Don's roots run deep in folk music, not in just his knowledge of the genre, not just in the vintage instruments he owns and plays with deft skill, but in having encountered the artists themselves in live and personal settings. We continue our "front porch jam" by covering "Libba" Cotten's cherished tune; I play the main melody on an Ibenez OM guitar, Don joins in with his Washburn parlor, Gibson mandolin, and a dulcimer tuned to C--a string band to be sure;)

Nearly all my songs are originals (see descriptions on the songs). I do everything myself, from composing and arranging to mixing.  I use Propellerhead's Reason.

I wish I had more time to make music, but my full-time job and daily duties require a lot of my time as well! :) For now, I am happy to do music as a hobby and have no further ambition than that.

My musical references and inspirations come from artists like Sigur Rós, Anathema, Clannad, Loreena McKennitt, and a few Norwegian artists. I also get inspired by books and movies with a fantasy/medieval feel, like Tolkien's work.
