Assim como a abelha Arapuá transforma a floresta com sua presença incansável, a faixa Arapuá transforma a mente dos ouvintes, polinizando padrões complexos na imaginação do público.
Inspirado por essa força, Muirakitan criou a faixa “Arapuá”, onde o zumbido constante e a presença enigmática dessa abelha se transformam em uma viagem sonora, onde paisagens repletas de texturas sagradas se entrelaçam com os mistérios da natureza, onde ordem e caos dançam em ressonância cósmica.

Igor, known in the electronic music scene as TerraTech, embarked on his musical journey in 2001, driven by an early fascination with diverse styles of Psytrance music. His initial foray into this new psychedelic world occurred at private parties and local clubs throughout Portugal, where he honed his mixing skills and deepened his understanding of the music genre. 

By 2005, these formative experiences culminated in the creation of his solo project, TerraTech.
Over the years, he has released music on respected labels including Urban Antidote, Insomnia, Bhooteshwara, Sangoma, OmVeda, and Deviant Force, building a reputation for deep, psychedelic compositions that span the spectrum from night to forest.

In 2010, took over creative direction at Urban Antidote Records, helping shape the label into a key player in the global underground Psytrance scene. He has since curated several standout compilations such as “Optoplanar,” “Renewal,” “Modulating Architects,” and “TEN”, the latter marking the label’s 10-year anniversary.

With over two decades of experience, has played at top festivals including BOOM, Psychedelic Circus, Psycrowdelica, Waha, and Ufo Bufo, delivering sets that guide listeners through expansive, emotional, and often mind-bending moments.

2025 marked a milestone with the release of "Nature Mysticism", TerraTech debut full-length album. This highly anticipated record encapsulates years of evolution, reflecting both a personal and professional achievement for the artist and for Urban Antidote.

This week, I delved into the audio filters of Ableton Live 12, focusing on Saturator and Shifter.

Saturator is a powerful tool that helps add that extra punch, character, and warmth to your sound. Although I didn’t fully utilize its capabilities, I tried to apply the effect purposefully. It was fascinating to discover how subtle adjustments could change the overall tone. However, I haven’t been able to explore the Color Curve Display and Color Filter Parameters yet, leaving room for future experimentation.

The Shifter is a pitch- and frequency-shifting effect that would have been ideal for adjusting several drum layers. The idea was to create unique sound effects with this tool. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to apply it, meaning I missed some creative opportunities.

I think it might be better to focus on one audio filter per week. This will help me avoid producing half-finished work and allow me to dive deeper into the various features.
