He is enriching the local rave and party scene as a DJ and promoter for many years. Usually, he is digging deep into any kind of bass music - for tonights first hour of the show he selected some dreamy listening tunes and melancholic jungle tracks. Second hour by micina. I'm always very hard on myself when it comes to recording gigs and that's why I've never released a mix like this. I'm much more comfortable with the music at gigs being for a specific place, moment and crowd and not being "immortalised" online. but I had a lot of fun playing that night - especially dancing with a lot of friends - and really enjoyed the evening. so I thought it would be nice to make an exception this time and release the live recording. It's far from perfect and unfortunately, there are some background noises to be heard from time to time, but they should not disturb the listening experience.

BLVSH Collective is back at the Refuge Worldwide studio for its 4th showcase, full of surprises. It will feature Ukrainian artists, for DJ sets and also a special interview about the current situation in the country and the Ukrainian music scene.

All track played in this set were bought through fundraising compilations helping displaced Ukrainians.

"Climate Change and Post-Growth Raving” convened slow-gigging DJ, @gigstab, and members of local climate justice orgs, Stay Grounded and Berlin Klimaneutral, to discuss how electronic dance music industry, individuals as much as organisations, can contribute to a just transition away from fossil fuels. How can we collectively shift our desires away from “partying as usual” towards slower, less fossil consumptive forms of raving and live up to the eco-social justice values our community is committed to.

Omit Salem is part of the Callshop crew and co-host of the EJ Mañana Morningshow. Coming from Frankfurt, now based in Dresden and soon to be in Berlin. 

Beeing musically very versatile, he is not only a very good morning show host but also a great club DJ. For this show we played lots of percussive stuff, some dubby bass music and a few brand new club edits.
