Tiella Sound has recently become a record label as well, and today Luca Bigote is hosting the Neapolitan DJ and producer Livio Improta, author of the second release which was out on December 8th. During this episode, Livio gives us all an exclusive preview of a live version of the album, recorded on tape to mantain the lo-fi stylistic signature of his work.

I've been trying to make a mix with some of the songs which have influenced me over the years, reflecting the journey and changes in my taste in music, it has proven to be a difficult task to do so because there are so many. Tiella Sound is the reflection of Luca Bigote’s "fluid" music vision, where genres blend and boundaries fade away. The project includes a radio show on @lyl_radio, a mix series and a record label.

Luca Bigote is an Italian-born and previously Berlin-based DJ with wide tastes across the music spectrum. Displaying an intent to never be pinned down by genres, his diverse sets are long global journeys flirting with Ambient introspections, rarefied Soft Electronica, floating Downtempo beats, warm Organic Grooves, and all different shades of House.

A versatile approach that has taken him to cities like Berlin, Tel Aviv, Brussels, Milan, Rome, Naples and more, places where he also shared the DJ booth with pivotal artists like Tornado Wallace, Patrice Scott, Fantastic Man, Rahaan just to name a few.

WrongPlanet (Dj Jock) started as a Dj in 1985 where he learnt to scratch and mix records.

Mixing early hip hop /electro and breaks from 1986 to 1990.

He played out as Dj through the late eighties House Techno and UK rave scene until 1992, where he went onto playing early progressive house and US house to mid nineties.

In 1996 Dj Jock entered the DMC UK Technics mixing championships London heats, up against the “Scratch Perverts”. Mixing hip hop and funk with drum and bass gaining originality and credibility.

In 1999 he entered the Brighton DMC championships and was recognised for his originality by “Dj Crafty Cuts “for mixing a Stevie Wonder track with Daft Punk. This lead to him warming up for him at Charged club nights in Brighton playing breaks and hip hop.

2003 Dj Jocks mash up bootleg mixes were played by Radio 1s Jo Whiley on her slot “Bootleg Genius” and XFMs Tim Lovejoy and John Kennedy’s shows.

I’m the mid 2000s he remixed Keane’s ‘put it behind you’ track and also ‘My Shadow’ , creating a gritty minimal beats led remix.

He is currently producing future beats/ bass and a wide genre of electronic music.
