South East London singer/DJ Ell Murphy has been making moves in the dance scene with her lively and energetic mixes of UKG, breaks and jungle.

This year she released her debut solo EP 'Freedom' on Shall Not Fade sublabel, Time Is Now, featuring collabs with DJ Crisps, Stones Taro, Highrise, Picasso & Tuff Trax; proving her as one of the go to vocalists in the scene right now. 2021 also saw the release of a collaborative EP project on Dansu Discs with Perception, Ollie Rant & Lavonz & further Bumpi Biznizz features on her Jucey Tunes label, with several more featured tracks in the works, inc. Will Silver, Giulia Tess & Ekula. Ell is currently working on new music with Mani Festo & Dwarde, set for release in 2022, along with plenty of live vocal shows scheduled across the UK for the rest of the year.

Influences: Everything that reminds me of 'changa', as my friend Phran helped me to describe (because the term has some mysticism), was the music we danced to at the 'minitecas' in the 90s/00s. That sound would be a mix of House, Euro-dance, Mákina, Techno-Trance, Tribal House, and Hard House, all together. That now has evolved into worldwide reckoned genres such as Raptor House, Hard Fusion, Changa Tukky, Town House, Street House/Techno.

Try to do yoga or engage in something you enjoy that helps you move the energy in your body, take care of your mental health, take time off, sleep, and try escaping from the city to nature once in a while for a full body and mind recharge, might sounds obvious, but it is effective 🤍🤍🤍

About the mix:  'AINES' would describe it as: the nostalgic vibe, or 'Hello Sasy' as apotheosic feelings, of one of the songs in it.

I thought for a long time about what I wanted to do for the mix. Lately, I haven't been able to spend much time on music, which bothered me. However, this mix rekindled my love for music. The reason was that I kept confining myself within a frame, saying, "No, it won't work like this, it won't work like that," and it wore me out. In this set, I played whatever sounded good to my ears recently. There's almost a 40 bpm difference between the beginning and the end of the set. I don't know how to describe the music style within it. I guess I can only say: "There's not much electro." It just felt good and I did it.
