Breaking Through is a two part debut album from Acid James. Both parts are built around a natural soundscape, using recorded samples from James's travels, whilst DJing over the last two years. James's passion for music and club culture still drives the underlying pulse of each track. Since his first EP, inspiration from the organic song of life, features more than ever in his latest works. The album Breaking Through is a euphoric psychedelic experience, with each track taking the listener on their own sonic journey. James's love for electronica grew from a young age. At 12, he was drawn to a song: Flutter by Bonobo, playing the game SSX On Tour. The emotional spirit of genre led to James's fascination with music and DJing. With further inspiration coming from club culture and festivals such as Gottwood and Houghton, as he grew up. Listening to Paranoid London - Eating Glue on the dance floor, the raw squelch of the acid line mesmerised him and later became his signature sound. From his early club days performing disco, afro and house: the 303 kept finding itself amongst his sets. Now the core of each part of the album, his love for acid house is ever present. "Creamy acid baselines cutting through nature's beautiful textures, what isn't more to like," James told NOIDEA. - Part I is certainly that! A refined, untouched, energetic, pulsating sound suitable for the dance floor and your home. Part I really emulates how far Acid James has come.

Needwant  are  pleased  to  welcome  Kiwi  onto  the  label  for  his  debut  'Mayfly' release.  Starting  with  the  chilled   original  that  is  completed  with  Amy  Skippings  vocals.  Belgian  DJ  and  producer  Compuphonic  shows  diversity  by   delivering  two  remixes.  Urulu  switching  things  up  with  his  dub  remix.   Alex  Warren  aka  Kiwi  has  developed  his  own  unique  sound  over  the  past  year,  combining influences  from  Disco,  Funk  and  House.  2013  has  seen  him  announce  releases  on  labels  such  as  Days  Of  Being  Wild,  Kitsune  and  the  highly  acclaimed  Deep  Shit. One  of  the  youngest  DJs  on  the  Belgian  DJ  circuit,  Maxime  Firket  aka  Compuphonic  soon  moved  onto  the   international  scene  with  a  release  on  Tiga's  Turbo  Recordings.  Further  releases  came  on  other  highly  acclaimed   labels  including  Modular,  Darkroom  Dubs,  Systematic  Recordings,  2020  Vision  and  Parquet  Recordings.     Taylor  Freels  aka  Urulu  recently  teamed  up  with  fellow  Londoners  Chaos  In  The  CBD  to  release  their  'Never  Again  EP'  on  Needwant. Label info:  This is the 16th Submarine Vibes release, made by German producers Chris Robin & Jonas Saalbach. These two guys bring us beautiful deep track with warm melodies and easy groove. EP includes remixes by Hibrid and Jelly For The Babies. Both of remixes show us different dimensions of original track. Jelly's remix is well rounded with contagious bassline which constantly keeps us on the edge. On the other hand Hibrid presents us lighter variation of original track, full of maginficent and unusual pads.

Tibi Dabo is the latest project from Barcelona born DJ and producer Max Guardans. Following on from last year’s La Dorada on Rebellion, he brings his enigmatic sonic exploration to Crosstown this May.

The EP opens up with the gentle yet thudding bass of Her Moon. The track is ten minutes of pure euphoria. Mesmerising cosmic synths travel towards the first breakdown where the track enters a darker phase before they weave their way back in as a 90s inspired piano topline joins proceedings. It’s All Behind takes the EP on a deeper trip with an emotive, soulful, vocal and shimmering melodies. Closing the EP, Nowhere Beach deploys a rapid beat with industrial hints and a rolling bassline, whilst keeping the cosmic feel of its predecessors. A warm synthline uplifts in the breakdown.

The alias of Max Guardans, Tibi Dabo is also the name of a mountain that overlooks Guardans’ hometown of Barcelona. Under this alias the young DJ and producer seeks to explore and experiment with a wide and varied sonic soundscape. His first EP, 2017’s Ende, was signed to Sasha’s highly acclaimed label, Last Night On Earth. Last year’s offering La Dorada was picked up by Damian Lazarus who signed it to his Rebellion imprint, with both EPs showcasing Guardans’ ability to create evocative music that shows a musical maturity beyond his years.

Bruneck - named after the northern Italian city Kelley holds a residency, is a touch harder - a more direct expression of late night abandon, with spine tingling moments thanks to judicious use of piano chords and sweeping effects.

The lead track “Hydra” immediately transports into Rodriguez Jr.’s alternate universe of swelling synths and distinctive melodies that stay in your psyche for a very long time. Finishing the EP, “Pegasus” sets its signature with a piano trill, thrilling fans who well know Rodriguez Jr’s relationship with this instrument. Crafted in his Paris studio, rhythmic synthesisers, ethereal pads and a tender bassline join the soundscape to create the setting for a tantalising melody to take the heart strings of the listener on a special journey which is, at 7 minutes, entirely too short.
