"This EP was crated in my home studio with Force Placement using our electronic instruments recorded live as a jam. He's a big Elektron user and my instrument of choice is the Verbos Modular System. We’ve talked about working together on a project for a while, always at some warehouse after party in LA. It was great to finally get together during lockdown and make some music on the spot. The tracks were arranged after our improvisational sessions and mixed on my analog console. The artwork was painted by Berkeley Glaser while listening to the records as I worked on the arrangements and mixes. A big thank you to Liquid Asset and Stukes for the incredible remixes! All the tracks are mastered by myself."

Alexa Borzyk began her musical journey at the age of 8 as a violinist and a self-taught guitarist at the age of 15. After many years of involvement in Montreal’s Psytrance scene, her journey towards techno began as a collector of Dance music during her time in nursing school. 

Her trademark of high energy and spikes of 90s techno is born deep in the crate where she digs up her Belgian/Polish roots. From enigmatic breakbeat and trance samples offering elements of nostalgia, Alexa invites the audience's participation whose musical appreciation eclipses that of just one genre.

Since 2016, having played Illusion Festival, the SATosphere, Salon Daomé, Stereo, and Piknic Elektronic, Montreal’s techno scene is familiar with Alexa’s sound. From opening duties for Richie Hawtin and Reinner Zonneveld to playing along with acts such as VTSS and Stephanie Sykes in self-produced events at Le Livart and Entrepôts Dominion. 

Her first release of 2022 was a 4-track EP debuting on the Belgian techno label Coincidence Records. In her young career, her track has earned its play at the world-renowned Tomorrowland by Nur Jaber, which was live-streamed from the festival. With her knowledge of production and passion for music, she doesn’t plan to stop releasing anytime soon.

The sound of Berlin DJ and producer Johannes Menzel can mainly be identified as an interplay of deep/powerful kicks and raw techno basslines, paired with melodic, hypnotic - almost trance-like - lead and pad elements. Also, he expresses his passion for this contrasting type of techno in his DJ sets. However, just producing is not enough for Johannes. He also likes to share his skills with other producers. The feeling of being able to immerse into a world where limits are defined only by yourself motivates him to spend every free minute in the studio continuing the exciting journey through the world of techno.
