Hailing from Manchester in the UK, acoustic-electronica trio GoGo Penguin are pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Nick Blacka and drummer Rob Turner. Drawing on a heady brew of influences from Brian Eno, John Cage, Massive Attack and Aphex Twin to Manchester’s grey rain-streaked urban streets, they create a brave new sound that is wholly their own.

Defined by skittering break-beats, powerful sub-bass, telepathic interplay and a penchant for anthemic melody they create an emotionally rich palate for the listener that has seen them hailed as the most exciting new band to emerge from the UK in years.

Herzlich Willkommen zu unserer kleinen Audioguide Führung für die ehemalige Klosterkirche Neuzelle, unter dem bahnbrechenden Motto: Jugendliche führen Jugendliche. 
Wir, dass sind 21 Schüler aus dem Geschichtsleistungskurs der 11. Klasse hier im Gymnasium. 
Wir lernen hier in einem ehemaligen Kloster der Zisterziensermönche und haben wirklich viele viele lange und verwinkelte Flure und ebenso zahlreiche Treppen...
Hier in Neuzelle haben wir viele Highlights, wieso zumindest in den Sommermonaten ganze Herscharen von Touristen sich das ehemalige Kloster mit seinen Museen und dem Barockgarten anschauen. 
Besonders beeindruckend ist die große, schon von weitem hin sichtbare ehemalige Klosterkirche. Diese wird seit der Auflösung des Klosters im Jahre 1817 von der katholischen Kirchengemeinde genutzt. Und so hatten wir die Idee in unserem Geschichtsunterricht nicht nur den manchmal recht trockenen Lehrstoff zu büffeln, sondern diesen besonderen Ort mit unseren Worten für Gleichaltrige zu beschreiben. Wir hoffen, dass etwas von unserer eigenen Faszination rüberkommt. HÖRT REIN :-)

It's Human Jazzhop Palim – organic live pogo with modern technical hip-hop and house roots! The life of "Feindrehstar", a band of eight from Jena/ Thuringia, runs on stage – and were it to be screened "The stage is their construction-site" could be its title. After all, once the eight gentlemen take the podium, the audience is about to be taken away on an acoustic journey – just like a good movie takes its audience to places they have never been before.

I am a guitarist. I compare myself to an actor which I suppose makes me a "character" guitarist. I have been very fortunate to land some very exciting roles in my career thus far (see discography) but the most significant has been working with Sting since 1990. This collaboration kind of defines my career and is why I am often referred to as "Sting's guitarist", an association or title I am still very proud of. Together we have recorded 8 albums, performed over 1,200 concerts, and co-written a few songs, most notably "Shape of my Heart". He keeps me busy and our journey continues.

When I am not working with Sting or other artists I maintain a career recording and touring with my band and playing solo concerts. I don't have much of a life outside of music but I am a father to six, some of whom are musicians.
