original music - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94LZcum8tCE              ryukyu Underground (琉球アンダーグラウンド, Ryūkyū Andāguraundo) is an electronic music duo, consisting of Keith Gordon and Jon Taylor, whose music is heavily based on and inspired by traditional Okinawan folk music.
The duo's music blends Okinawan folk songs with Western dance music and dub, and they often collaborate with native Okinawan singers and other musicians. Though their music may at times sound like a DJ's mix of dance tracks with min'yō tracks, it consists mostly, if not entirely, of compositions composed, performed and recorded as original, new pieces. It may draw extensively from traditional lyrics, tunes, and chords, it is never simply mixed from pre-existing recordings by other artists, and always includes considerable original elements. The pair started out incorporating vocals and other elements via sampling, on later albums and other releases they have worked directly with Okinawan artists, recording vocals and other elements live in the studio. The duo has released four albums, and their music has been included in Buddha Bar compilation albums and used on a variety of television programs, documentaries, and other media.

Though questions could be raised about Westerners appropriating Okinawan music, the duo's reception in Okinawa by locals has been described as "ecstatic". The duo first tested their music in dance clubs in Okinawa, and were well received, the natives even dancing traditional kachashi dances to it. In an interview in 2003, Taylor expressed that "we are both sensitive to the fact that Okinawan music is an important part of Okinawan culture, and we certainly don't want to disrespect it or commercialize it in a cheap way for profit. However, I'm confident we haven't done either."

Taylor cites Rinken Band, the Nenes, and Champloose, the leading bands of the 1970s Uchinaa pop boom, among the duo's influences. Just as those bands took up electric guitar and other "modern" instruments and sought to replicate the traditional folk songs, so Taylor notes that he and Gordon saw potential in doing something similar using computer equipment.

Singer and producer El Mago debuts on YNFND with a 4 track gatefold LP entitled `Kanénas ́. 
Based half in Thessaloniki and half in Berlin, he ties between two identities as greek and german. 
Transfusing the roots of urban Greek music `Rembetiko ́ with modern electronica, he symbolises his personal journey with the connection of his two cultural identities. 

On entrance we start with `Gígantes ́, a fusion of vibrant humming, synthetic pops, crackles and the poetic voice of Plastelini. From the get-go we witness a vocal story written about the relationship with your demons, and how to live beside them. Interrupted by erratic gun- shots and bass-heavy shuffles, the message provokes a somewhat conflicting reaction. 

Stepping into what seems like a distorted cave, `Thálassa ́ takes us into tripped beats, off-time glitches and synthesised brush strokes. Swaying between looming hums and a pull and release of echo as it comes to it’s end. 

As we flip the record, a dissonant sample leads us into `Filakí ́, with what can be described as ancient bass. Vocal fragments shout but whisper as they are broken up by explosions. 
By the time the song reaches climax, you sense the origin of El Mago’s roots. 

The finale entitled `Potámi ́ boasts delicate guitar strings, followed by laid-back rhythms and El Mago himself on vocals. A bygone tale comes to mind as Potamós embraces Mago’s musical past as a performer in the more traditional sense, an ode to Rembetiko once again. 
You may think that `Potámi ́ marks the end of his musical odyssey, but in truth it is just the start. He is not Kanénas* yet. 

*translated as `Nobody ́ 

The release is accompanied by 4 tarot-themed cards depicting each track with poems written by Lina Rococco, alongside 1 secret track on vinyl only.

Ahau & Arkay Koo were called by the jungle and gifted to hear and to retain its sounds. In Paoyhàn, Loreto Peru, where the Ucayali River flows, it’s where their story begins.
The retrieved sounds, chants, and stories were transformed into magical music. 
With the release „Sonidos del Amazonas“ Ahau & Arkay Koo would like to draw the attention back to its origins: The Jungle. 
Families are forced to flee from the jungle, to study and to adapt to the society far away from it, leaving mother Nature with less guardians and further giving more freedom to the industry to salvage her. Mining, deforestation and palm tree harvests are the biggest hazards, that the precious jungle has to face.
Giving away a part of their winnings of this release, they are establishing an example, that we all should follow.
Safe mother Nature and its wonderful miracles, that we so often forget!
