Tolga Maktay is the rising sun after the dark end of a sleepless night. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can give you light and good feelings. Abacilar, Kumara (PA) and Cedro tell you stories about isolation and morning calmness.

When I was born, I remember two voices speaking. “Master!” one voice said. “This is magnificent — the dragon is almost alive!” “Add more water to the inkstone,” another voice said. This voice was near my head, I felt the warm air of his breath. “And speak quietly. You will wake the dragon.” “I am sorry, Master,” the first voice said in a more subdued tone. “It is only that this painting is most amazing, even for such a skilled artist as you. This dragon painting will bring great honor to the village when we present it to the magistrate.” “Wasted on the magistrate,” the master said under his breath, so softly that only I could hear. “A conceited, self-important man, who, when only the imperial family is allowed to use the image of a dragon, commissions one. Now that his son has married the king’s daughter, Magistrate Tiger will do anything to flaunt his power and overstretch his authority. But this painting will buy his favor and free the village from his unfair taxes.”
Figura Retorica bring the tales of Shamanism into the light of this universe. This is their first offering for Shango Records. These tracks are as mellow as a sweet fruit. Adari and Sinai (IT) drink mush flowers and dream of atomic mellows.

As a little boy, he listened to Chuck Berry, Clarence Gatemouth Brown or Chet Atkins, whom he regretted not being able to imitate perfectly. After trying his hand at the US Air Force, then local rock (Johnny and the Valentines) and adding new initials to his first name (legend has it that a club owner wanted to differentiate him from the Welshman of the Velvet Underground, John Cale, but we don't have to believe the legends), he meets pianist, singer, composer and conductor Leon Russell (who will have his moment of glory in Mad Dogs and Englishmen, the band from Joe Cocker's American tour, and as mentor to the matrimonial duo Delaney & Bonnie).

original music -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOjAzI5zALo        Originally from Athens, Georgia, the B-52's heralded the 80's with a tangy, danceable pop-rock music and a colourful look, bringing science fiction, fifties rock 'n' roll and sauerkraut hairstyles back to life. Their first album (1979) is a model of the genre, and thirty years later, they are still there with Funplex. The B-52's, a most curious name which firstly refers to the US Air Force bombers used during the Second World War (the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress), and secondly, slangly means the gigantic hairy "sauerkraut" that the two singers wear at all times. Mixing two universes so diametrically opposed translates wonderfully the character of this group: delirious.
