To close out 2021 and usher in 2022 we are very excited to present the final mix of the year from Hong Kong based selector Ani Phoebe. It's spicy, cosmic and groovy with a latin twist. Ani draws on her multi-cultural and multi-lingual background in her sets, growing up in NYC, Rio De Janeiro & Hong Kong, she has always been attracted to the weird and oddball side of dance music. 

Ani is a resident at The Lot Radio (NY) @thelotradio where she runs a monthly show called Parallel Worlds, dedicated to diggers from different subcultures around the world.

Now a Berliner, Cosmo Vitelli has replaced erratic sleep patterns with the tireless exploration of dance music’s forgotten gems, and sharing his finds as a producer, DJ, musician and label head.
Running I’m a Cliché since 2004, he brought into light the freshest talents such as Red Axes, Azari & III, Krikor, It’s a Fine Line,
Jonathan Kusuma, Simian Mobile Disco or Moscoman - and a number of exciting edits through his infamous Edit Service series. 
He also used his own production skills for his own material, releasing 2 original albums, and a bunch of remixes for a wide range of artists, from Daft Punk to Radio Slave. He also formed Bot’Ox with Julien Briffaz of Tekel, reconnecting with his love for guitar and pop music and releasing a handful of EPs released on DFA and DC Recordings and two albums and a movie soundtrack, still on I’m a Cliché.
Alongside Dj Sundae, he can be found animating No Weapon is Ab- solute, a monthly show on London radio NTS

Patrick Billard also known as DJ Duckcomb has a way of making mixes that fits very naturally with 5918mins. So much that we didn’t even have to explain the concept to him. 

He really carved out his own and very personal approach to digging and being a DJ - so we think that the proud dad who is currently residing in Los Angeles can best explain his approach to music himself: 

"I guess it all goes back to my first record as a toddler was Stray Cats "Stray Cat Strut"on 45 which i played until the grooves wore out. Then Michael Jackson and Breakdancing took over my childhood years but in my highschool years i was hugely into indie rock like Pavement and Guided by Voices...this was the early 90s. 
I once read an interview with Robert Pollard of GBV and he listed some of his favorite records and one that stood out for me was David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust". I think from that point onward i started really exploring older music, possibly to the detriment of neglecting new music. After exploring Bowie and the glam era and working back into psych i got back into punk and Paul Weller and The Jam which then led to exploring soul music and from there disco and that's really been my path for the past 20 years: disco and by extension the disco side of reggae/calypso/african music. I've also really been enjoying exploring private press or "real people" records. I think this mix represents a good snapshop of what i currently look for when digging. There's everything from private press AOR and new wave reggae from Long Island to synth heavy funky psych jams from the Philippines and Israel to some zouk and African boogie. And of course, i always like to bookend my mixes with a choice spoken word record!"

We can only add that we’re incredibly happy to have him. He’s one of those who incorporates the idea behind this podcast series. If you can’t handle personality, you better avoid.
