Steely Dan, Carlos Santana, Burt Bacharach, Henry Mancini, Earth Wind and Fire , Swing Out Sister, The Doors, Frank Sinatra , Chris Botte, Michael Buble, Sting, Snarky Puppy,  these set the foundations for my musical self But;

In the last 10- 15 years the music of Koop and Swing out Sister  and Burt Bacharach have had the biggest impact on the music I write and play.

I have recently fallen in Love with Schema Records of Italy. I am listening , and liking songs continually that end up being Schema records. Gerardo Frisina, S-Tone Inc., 
The Invisible Sessions, Mario Bianchi, Paolo Fedreghini, and many more.
In addition to stellar Jazz/Fusion talent , at Schema they were recording with high end equipment and high bit rates long before it became routine every where else.
The Quality of the sound is always dramatic.

One theme present in the majority of the above mentioned artists work is the sound quality that all consistently have produced.
I can’t claim to be there yet ,but I am hopefully moving in that direction.
