Band Of Missfits invent their sound using some unshakable components. The Perth four-piece bear both the smoothness of classic rock and the fuzzier tones of grunge. They can transition from a brooding country swagger to an arena-sized crescendo in a heartbeat. In fact, even when the band is at their most subdued they still sound huge. Their latest single, Nothing At All, is the perfect case in point.

Taken from their electrifying EP Higher Passage, Nothing At All makes an instant and lasting impact. Everything is big: the drums, the guitars, the vocals, and especially the hooks. This is due in no small part to producer Sean Lillico (Fur Real Studio), who has done an outstanding job of capturing the band's massive live sound and on-stage energy.

Band Of Missfits have developed substantially since their last offering – 2017's Into The Storm EP. Described by one rock critic as having an 'earthy heavy ethereal feel to it', the band's sound beautifully combines acoustic and electric instruments with a powerhouse lead vocal. Taking things down a grittier path than their debut, Band Of Missfits have found more of their edge on Higher Passage, which delivers its hooks through bitter-sweet melodies.

In just a few short years, Band Of Missfits have established themselves with a solid, no-nonsense sound and an ever-increasing repertoire of catchy, rousing songs.

As with all good rock bands though, it's the stage that matters most to Band Of Missfits. While Higher Passage shows what they can do in the studio, this is first and foremost a live band – with a workhorse gigging schedule to prove it. So their plan for the year is to play as many shows as possible, both at home and on the road, as they continuously work their way towards a debut full-length album.

Keith David is a Melbourne-based guitarist/songwriter who recently released his 6-track EP, ‘Thoughts Around’, which is a mix of 4 songs and 2 instrumentals. It is based around the themes of birth, death, self-discovery and loneliness.
While the electric guitar is prominent in his music, ever present are ethereal keyboard textures whether supporting rhythmic progressions or teasing the ear with dream-like atmospheres. Acoustic guitars form a part of the overall fabric on many tracks and as stand-alone features in his instrumentals. 
Keith incorporates layered vocal harmonies within his songs and adds guitar harmonies occasionally to bring another level of melody into the mix. He is not averse to incorporating what can be described as ‘field sounds’ as a means of highlighting aspects of the songs.
After spending much of his musical path as a guitarist in various bands, Keith felt he needed to step up to release some of the material he has been creating. While Keith recognises musical evolution, as championed by such bands as Riverside and Porcupine Tree, he often returns to the old school organic and melodic approaches of The Beatles, Pink Floyd and other late 60’s sounds. These were his earliest influences and remain so to this day. 
Keith is currently working to promote the EP and is developing an acoustic act for classic cover songs as well as working with other musicians on various projects. He intends to form a band soon to take his music into the live arena.

Acoustic Foxx is an Australian singer-songwriter whose music fuses the emotional grit of ‘90s rock with the intimacy of stripped-back acoustic storytelling. Influenced by artists like Nirvana, Silverchair, and Chris Cornell, he first made his mark in rock bands like Ownkind before stepping into his own as a solo artist.
Over the past few years, he’s been playing guitar for pop rock artist Aimee Francis and other acts, while quietly continuing to write acoustic songs in the background—songs rooted in reflection, honesty, and the ongoing journey of life.
Now, he returns with “A Little Time,” his first solo release since 2022. Written following the loss of his beloved grandmother, the song is a tender reflection on grief, reflection, and finding clarity in difficult times—music that speaks softly and touches your heart.

Al Gammie is quickly establishing himself as a singer-songwriter to keep your eye on in 2021. His debut solo single ‘Beautiful’ (out now on all digital platforms) commands your attention with its balance of catchy pop sensibility, earnest storytelling, and visceral intimacy. 

Al’s distinct, emotive, and raw voice is product of his many years fronting mostly heavy rock bands. Making himself heard over Marshall amps set to 11 and thunderous drums developed a natural power and robustness in his voice - his trademark – and a point of difference as he now enters the Americana/folk/roots/country arena.

Adversity introduces a man to himself, and it can also reintroduce him to earlier iterations. Through a difficult time in his personal life, during the height of the pandemic, Al reconnected with his passion. Through many muses, mentors and inspiration, he was compelled to draw out everything he was feeling, telling universal stories through his songs with an organic honesty he had never explored. Tapping influences from childhood such as Roy Orbison, Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen to name just a few, he rarely put the pen or guitar down in 2020. Al worked with collaborators around the world, exchanging audio files from Nashville to London to Los Angeles and beyond. Before he knew it, he had a complete album recorded. 

With two singles out and a full-length LP following, Al Gammie is ready to take the Australian and international scene by storm. Just take a listen – it’s a voice you won’t forget with songs to match. The melodies burrow their way into your head and connect to your heart.
