Biri is an artist from Jerusalem, based in Berlin. He’s among the most promising talents emerging from the electronic scene of Tel Aviv.

Biri has been releasing music and DJing for more than 12 years as part of Deep’a & Biri [ @deepa ], and his latest solo project as Biri.
Signing music for labels such as Transmat, Figure, Black Crow, Counterchange and his last EP on Psyk’s Non Series.

Well known for his trippy, hypnotic, deep techno sets, and this one is no exception.

Bio: 
Lorenzo Papes aka P4PS is a young talented Italian Dj and techno music producer. Born in Belluno (Italy), he grew up listening to electronic music having his first approach to the fascinating world of techno in early 2013.

He decides so to start his solo artistic project by the name of P4PS, starting to produce and release music characterized by his own sound.
Since 2019, he released various quality music for great labels such as Subsist, Muted, TMM, Luminal, Arido, Corpus Black and more.

In March 2020 he headed up starting his new solo project with the record label “92u”, created to make a real impact with listener trough dark, mental, and hypnotic sonorities.

Interview:

P4PS about the start:
"I started my journey in 2018, 3 years ago, making my own music to bring something innovative and personal, which could represent my original sound.
The passion for techno and being a frequent visitor to events allowed me to start with my career as a producer. The sound and the scene in techno music are the most important things that represent me, that's why."

P4PS about inspiration:
"I was certainly influenced by my favourite producers, but my musical background has also played a fundamental role.
Ever since I was a kid, I have been following with a constant approach different musical genres, which allow me to be creative in my own productions."

P4PS about studio process:
"Well, regarding the choice of instruments I use for my productions, I am very faithful to digital, but I believe that choices and ideas when making music could change over time. Talking about collaborations, at the moment I am working on several projects with a dear friend of mine and producer who I really appreciate."

P4PS about home scene:
"The techno scene in my city is very poor, unfortunately the Covid situation didn't help us and I think that in Italy things are not moving much for now"

P4PS about future/collabs:
"An important thing that I want to announce is the release of the fourth release of my label 92u, expected by the end of the year
In addition to this, I’m going to release a work that I am very proud of, a 3-track ep for a label that I have always respected. Furthermore, there will be a remix of one of my 3 tracks by an artist that I admire a lot.

For our final show of 2021, @codeword-london hosts Biri, one of Tel Aviv’s finest electronic-music exports. @biri1990's signature blend of trippy, hypnotic and deep techno releases have been snapped up by leading labels including Len Faki’s @figure.official, Inland’s @counterchange-inland , Derrick May’s @transmat,  and most recently with his latest EP, 'Untitled Drift' on Psyk’s @nonseries.

Biri’s musical and geographic journey from his hometown Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, via Berlin and now London, also includes a successful collaboration as artist duo Deep’a and Biri and founding the label Black Crow. As a solo artist in his own right, Biri is pushing the boundaries of deep techno and IDM and is on a trajectory that merits serious attention.

Originally from Toronto, Mike Davis has always had a taste for music. Involved in projects around punk music, it's his flatmate that makes him discover techno. He then started buying records and began to develop his musical culture. His influences are too numerous to mention, which explains the eclecticism of his musical selection, but we could mention Takaaki Itoh, PAS or Terrence.

He then created his own label "Brenda" on which he released most of his tracks.

Growing up in Chicago with its close proximity to Detroit, Zachary Lubin found the flourishing sounds of early house and techno on local radio stations in the late 1980s while only of grade school age and much too young to access clubs. 

Shortly thereafter he began DJing school parties and occasional spots on radio shows and by the mid 1990s was well immersed in the US midwest rave scene, playing both regionally and eventually abroad. His DJ style was formed from a rich musical upbringing and exposure to many different teachers and genres, and continues to be very diverse to this day- from deep vocal house to disco to electro to new wave classics to hard techno. 

Later he began producing and went on to release on Jeff Mills' Axis label for the 6277 project. This was followed by numerous releases on labels such as Liebe*Detail, Kimochi Sound, UntilMyHeartStops, Parity, Nighttripper, and later albums on Developer's Modularz and again on Mills' Axis imprint. He releases his own material through his label Obvio both under his own name and his more techno-oriented alias, Maximillian Nyle. 

Obvio was originally a reggae label created in 1982 by his father and resurrected by Zachary in 2015. His more eclectic production works strive for organic soulful elements fused with influences of melodic Detroit techno, Chicago house, and German dub techno.

 His techno productions are focused on the exploration of concepts and soundscapes inspired by retrofuturism, industrial technologies, art, film, architecture, and science-fiction. 
Some of his major influences include Ron Hardy, Theo Parrish, Jeff Mills, Louie Vega, Developer, and Oscar Mulero.

Diffuse Reality is a label with international presence from Europe to South America, and with over a decade of releases now in tow, has featured artists such as Electric Indigo, Terence Fixmer, Stanislav Tolkachev, Sunil Sharpe, and Arnaud Le Texier.

LSWD is a Tunisian artist returning to Diffuse Reality with his second ever EP release, meaning he has only exclusively released on the imprint thus far, and we are keen to hear more works in the future as he establishes his back catalogue.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Got to Learn" with a rolling and jackin' sound. The electrifying textures pierce the airwaves with a gritty, bending feeling, while the dancing synth notes create a moody vibe amidst lots of atmospheric elements in this raw, uptempo jam.

Wolski creates solo as well as in collaborative projects. In his artistic work he uses various experimental techniques, including modular synthesizers. 
Currently one of the most recognizable figures on the techno music scene in Poland. Michał Wolski's work powers the catalogs of such international record labels as Nonplus Rec., Eerie Rec., Semantica Rec., Technosoul, Recognition Rec., Blank Slate Rec., International Day Off Rec., Lost In Ether Rec., Silent Season Rec. and others.
He presented his music, giving concerts during festivals in Poland (including Unsound, Up To Date Festival, Warsaw Music Week, Audioriver, Warsaw Electronic Festival, etc.), as well as abroad (China, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, Lithuania, Ukraine, Spain), also during countless cultural events in music clubs and cultural institutions. His performances have been broadcast on-line many times – twice through the Boiler Room, currently one of the world's leading platforms dedicated to electronic music and club culture. Journalist and publisher. Co-author of a radio program dedicated to electronic music – "Fünfte Strasse" – broadcasted continuously since 2010 on Radio Kampus in Poland.
