The Space Lady began her odyssey on the streets of San Francisco in the late 70s, playing an accordion and dressed flamboyantly, transmitting messages of peace and harmony. Following the theft of her accordion, The Space Lady invested in a then-new Casio keyboard, birthing an otherworldly new persona that has captured the imaginations of the underground and its lead exponents ever since.

The legend of The Space Lady has continued to grow in the 21st century. Originally featured on the landmark 'outsider' compilation "Songs In The Key Of Z," then on mixes by Erol Alkan and John Maus, this music has transcended genre, style and fashion, opening up hearts and minds along the way. 
In the mid 90s The Space Lady packed away her Casio synth and silenced her distinctive voice, retiring from the streets of San Francisco. Now, more than 30 years after her initial forays on Haight Ashbury, she has surfaced with the first ever official release of her timeless, startling music and, even more remarkably, has re-started her live career. Now in Colorado, The Space Lady continues to spread her message of peace, harmony and love.

Of her early street sets, only one recording was made, self-released originally on cassette and then transferred to a home-made CD. "The Best Of The Space Lady"(LSSN021) features the best of these recordings pressed on vinyl for the first time and features archival photographs and liner notes from The Space Lady herself. Following the release of this archive, The Space Lady will be issuing new material and travelling the world to present her message outside the United States for the first time.

We are really proud and honored to present ESPECTRUM, a year-long effort to put together a compilation of the best dub techno. The idea was simple, but ambitious: ask some of our favorite artists for one track to epitomize dub techno—the style of music we’ve loved and continued to develop since our birth as producers and a label. With a very precise idea of what we wanted to collect, the compilation was carefully built with hypnotic, obscure, dense, and magical sounds with an eternal hook. These are the kind of tracks that will never lose their appeal, because they go above and beyond labels, styles, and trends, resisting the passage of time. After the first tracks starting coming in, the idea grew more and more special, and the concept even stronger. We knew we were onto something really big. And, finally, here it is.

The story got a definite Martin Nonstatic touch to it, you'll even hear sounds you've heard before and think you're on safe grounds but this time to composer will carry you way beyond your expectations, revealing aspects of his creation with more grit and an adventurous mind.
Neoteric by essence and yet a return to some oneiric trip-hop and the day after, hands up in the air, dancing grooves feeling ; Treeline is the third album signed on French imprint Ultimae, from a rather prolific artist who launched into numerous collaborations including the Ghostwalk EP with James Murray and the Eskostatic album and who, throughout his art, keeps on questioning causes and underlying perceptions.
