Known for his rich heritage and versatile sound, Andre Espeut has been captivating audiences worldwide with his unique blend of broken beat, house, afrobeat, and Latin jazz. Having collaborated with legends like Ron Trent, Leroy Hutson, Leroy Burgess, and Terry Callier, Espeut brings a wealth of experience and a distinctive voice that resonates across BBC Radio 1, Radio 6 Music, and Jazz FM. This album marks Andre's debut full length.
Joining forces with Espeut is the globally renowned Inkswel, a true force in the music scene who has spent over two decades pushing boundaries with his innovative production that has laid the foundation for past collaborations with Talib Kweli, Amp Fiddler, Lee Scratch Perry and countless other luminaries of underground music, Inkswel brings his old-school-meets-future sound to "Synchronicities."
The album is further elevated by a roster of impressive collaborators, including Los Angeles’ Project Blowed emcee Abstract Rude, Amsterdam’s virtuosic flutist Han Litz, and New Zealand’s versatile guitarist and producer Leonard Charles. Berlin's youANDme teams up once again with Namibian vocalist and poet Black Soda for 'Believe' - a stunning, dub-infused deep house tune that immediately caught our attention. The original features a crisp groove work, underpinned by a pulsating bass and overlaid with warm synth textures and melodies that blend perfectly with Black Soda's otherworldly vocal performance - all tailored into an arrangement that's sure to satisfy dancers and home listeners alike. The originals are backed up by a stripped-down Dub that’s unmistakably made for the dancefloor, and the beatless Sea Of Strings mix for ambient listening pleasure. And as if that wasn't enough, the package is rounded off with some brilliant remix work. Rising South African DJ and producer Jackson Brainwave stick to the original vocal arrangement while masterfully transforming the tune into his signature Afro-House and 3-step style.
