Adam White's songs mainly focus on the highs and lows of personal relationships and experiences. His smooth measured vocals offer comparisons to that of The National's Matt Berninger and early John Martyn works, whilst the dynamic arrangements and drive within his songs encapsulate the energy of more modern folkies such as The Tallest Man On Earth and M. Ward. White’s carefully crafted lyrics combined with melodic guitar picking carry the listener effortlessly from one song to the next. 

White grew up in a family environment surrounded by music. Early memories of The Police, Pink Floyd and Crosby Stills Nash And Young provided by his parents undoubtedly created an early impression. He seemed to veer away from playing music at a young age despite being given every opportunity do so. This idea would take root as a teenager when he would learn everything he could from the likes of Nirvana, Nick Drake and The Smiths. 

After school White went on to study music at college and was able to mix with like- minded musicians with whom he would go on to form bands. Even at this early stage White had already begun song writing in earnest and insisted on challenging his own capabilities as a songwriter.However, he became disillusioned by his home town environment and sought experiences further afield. After a period of travelling south East Asia with friends and a brief return home, he eventually settled in London. He immediately identified with his new home and immersed himself in the various music scenes around London. As times passed, the chaos, excitement and highs and lows of city life began to influence White's song writing. He identified with the anonymity of city life and through this was able to form his own ideas and let these ideas gather momentum, eventually taking shape in the songs which can be heard today.
