実は冬季に自分も野鳥への給餌を行っている。
例えば精米機から出た米ぬかは油分が多く鳥の餌になる。食用にならないゴミが付いた廃棄米とか、ホームセンターで買ってきた鳥の餌、あと自作のバードケーキ。砂糖に、小麦粉と、油で作ったハイカロリーな塊をぐるぐる混ぜて作る。油は天ぷら作った後で捨てるやつを使えばいい。
