miles from nowhere. is the guise of multi-instrumentalist and composer Miles Evans- Branagh. The bandleader presents miles from nowhere as a studio-ensemble-experiment-in-soul; crafting his cunning brand of pertinent, groove-based music.

Though thoroughly inspired by soul greats like Sly and Curtis Mayfield, Miles is in love with the songwriting of Randy Newman and newer artists like Michael Kiwanuka. On the self-titled EP, Evans-Branagh has assembled some of the most promising young musicians in the GTA who, when not playing on Miles’ music, are touring extensively with the Spencer Mackenzie Band, Ejji Smith, Dan Edmonds, J.R., Bart, Big Fir and more.
