The Wave is Estella Boersma's latest Single, released on Lobster Theremin.

Berlin based producer Estella Boersma announced themselves with a debut on Unknown to the Unknown’s Dance Trax imprint and a string of appearances in the infamous HOR bathroom have followed – including one at Crave Festival – generating a positive stream count thanks to their varied DJing style; floating between techno, bass, breaks, electro and old school rave.

Now debuting on Lobster Theremin, Estella serves up four assorted club cuts that perfectly exemplify the energy felt front-left at one of their sets.

‘The Wave’ is the most quintessential Estella track on the release – brimming with acid, breakbeats and warehouse rave energy, channelling older XL Recordings-inspired sounds and modern-punk electronic aesthetics. ‘Dial’ is frantic, stripped-back and raw - an angelic, colourful techno trip through pixelated palm trees and psychedelic sunrises.

‘Transfer’ drains the colour from its fabric as light turns to dark. Headsy, underground appeal blends with bouncy fun on a cut of wobbly 4x4 that sounds like something you might hear in a Chloe Robinson set, before high pitched-vocals and sped-up synths dazzle and delight with something that sits between techno, footwork and classic Chicago house.

There had been a change in the air, but it was something you couldn't see. It wasn't visible or tangible, you could just sense it, feel it, breathe it in... Nothing was out of place, everything seemed to be just the way it had always been, so why did it all feel so different? The effect had rippled through the atmosphere and taken over, and until the source was identified there would be no way of ever returning to normal....

Dansu Discs kickstart 2023 with the first collaborative EP from London producers LUXE and Tom Place. Their styles complement one another - LUXE's knack for huge bass lines and trance-influenced synths pair perfectly with Tom's off kilter approach to breaks and electro. On Moonquake the duo share three percussive, bass-driven tracks that bring together all those aforementioned influences, backed by a jungle flip from Banoffee Pies and Planet Euphorique alumni Angel D'lite.

‘What Is A DJ If He Can’t Care’ is KRAMPF’s first release for Live From Earth after a long-term friendship and collaboration and marks the 4th installment of the label’s imprint ‘Live From Earth Klub’. Influenced by Rotterdam’s Gabber and Hardcore scene, the French DJ and producer has reworked these styles in two tracks presenting a unique and modernized interpretation of Early Hardcore heritage at 160 bpm. In addition to that, Live From Earth’s DJ Gigola and her production partner Kev Koko make their collaboration debut on this EP presenting a high-energy electro remix on the B-Side. KRAMPF’s EP will be released digitally on the 19th of April. The vinyl will be officially available on the 10th of May with a total of 300 records.
