It's The Hustle No. 78 and we have the pleasure of welcoming up-and-comer CHINYERE. After a spectacular performance at our CLUB CRITTERS event in September this is a real treat. 

Ever since they moved to Hamburg in 2021, CHINYERE has been interested in mixing music like Gqom, Sgubhu, Jersey Club, Afrobeats, UK Garage and Amapiano. A year later, CHINYERE had the chance to take part in a DJ mixing workshop by the amazing DJ Collective "Slic Unit". After this introduction they cannot stop collecting, arranging and mixing different music genres like Gqom, Sgubhu, (Proto-)hyperpop, Deconstructed Club, Experimental Electronic and PC Music. 

For The Hustle CHINYERE delivers a juiced up, stompy genre-swirl that will leave you beaming.

This is the first mix we ever requested from a selector so we're pretty excited for this one!

Syntax Society aka Javier Moreno is our lovely pal and one of the main heads contributing to Madrid's underground scene. With almost twenty years involved in electronic music, we really needed this guy to get involved with item.'s podcast series to show us how it's done. He is the founder of party and record label Colt Music, which has hosted the likes of Seuil, Riccardo and Etienne. He also holds a residency at Sigh nightclub in Madrid where he is known to play all night long or warm up for big names like Andrew James Gustav. Not much has been said about today's selection inspirations, apart from that he was aided by magic ;)
