ZEN is the new debut album from LOVE APE (alias Moiety). The album is inspired by the calming effect of nature on the human brain and all tracks are made in a meditative state of mind. Although there are club friendly tracks on the album, it is created to bring a meditative state of mind to the creator and listener.

Your Planet Is Next is the nom de guerre of one Arvid Wretman – multidisciplinary artist, live performer and noise maker from Stockholm, Sweden. Since his 2014 debut cassette under the YPIN alias, through two floor-optimised solo EPs for Studio Barnhus, this self-proclaimed “Mr. Music” has terrorised us with the most gloriously disturbed electronic funk, all while cultivating his puzzling YPIN persona: part failed pop-star, part extraterrestrial threat. On his first full-length release for Studio Barnhus, emotions range from acidic romance to pure paranoia. Rave, screw, electro and chill vibes are all combined on an album that plays like an exhilarating journey through the mind of a mad genius.

Glasgow label Silver Dollar Club is set to release its third catalogue number after a 2 year hiatus. Responsible for the next outing on the label is Joe Reddick rather known under his artist alias Remotif. The Bristolian, who’s scored releases with labels like Coymix Ltd, Pleasant Life, Air Miles or his very own Familiar Strangers delivers three undeniably diverse tracks that breathe Breaks, deep chords and achieving a trances-state-of-mind with its implemented percussions. The B1, Don’t Do It, comes in including everything from the beforementioned like a swarm of shaking synths over spheric pads and a rock solid humming bass line that sets the pace of this almost deep-housey track that’s sure to lace any floor with style and grace.

Astonishingly, almost eight years have now passed since Simon Peter made his debut on Claremont 56 with the fantastically Balearic 'Arc of Lark'. He's not released much since, so this EP on Forest Jams is a welcome return to action. Title track 'Every Cloud' is deliciously warming and woozy, with twinkling lead lines, drowsy chords and softly strummed acoustic guitars riding above shuffling beats and a deep, smooth bassline. His love of acoustic instrumentation is further explored on the blissful 'You Don't Send Slow Waves Anymore'. Turn to the B-side for two fine remixes: a steel pan and Spanish guitar-sporting re-frame of 'Every Cloud' by Japanese outfit Coastlines, and a gorgeous, sunrise-ready, Balearic nu-disco re-imagining of 'You Don't Send Slow Waves Anymore' courtesy of Shu Suzuki.
