BIO: 
Jenni Alpert (Cami) Singer-songwriter, guitarist, and pianist Jenni Alpert (birth name: Cameron / Cami) was born in Los Angeles, CA and adopted out of the foster care system at the age of four. She started to sing and play piano while staying in various foster homes. With the encouragement and support of her adoptive family, she learned to play the guitar as well and began writing and recording songs early. With her honest rich songwriting and soothing musical melodies, songstress Jenni Alpert’s haunting, powerful, and sultry voice has gained the respect of fans and music tastemakers worldwide. Her emotionally driven songs weave a unique web of eclectic Soul-Americana Pop. As familiar with jazz and Americana as she is pop, Alpert graduated from UCLA from the Ethnomusicology Department in Jazz Vocal Studies after completing a four-year jazz program headed by Kenny Burrell.

No stranger to the recording studio, Alpert has released 8 albums, partnered up with Steve Greenberg from S-Curve Records for her most recent Live in the Studio release Until Then featuring guitarist Guthrie Trapp, and has independently toured over 14 countries with regularity. Upon reuniting with her biological father who was homeless, addicted, and running from the law at the time, yet a musician just like her, a documentary team made a short doc called Homeless: the Soundtrack directed by Oscar-nominated, Peabody and Emmy Award winning documentary film director Irene Taylor Brodsky, produced by Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz about the early stages of their first encounter and the unfolding of the journey of their biological reunion capturing the unique bond they share. Now, almost five years to date of their meeting, the two currently travel, speak, and perform sharing their biological reunion adventures and creative approaches towards transformation in story and song together as Community Service Performing Artists at Rescue Missions, Homeless Shelters, and local venues around the country alongside supporting the making of the short documentary under the name Cami and Don, The Biological Duo.   

Live, Alpert has supported veteran touring artists such as Loudon Wainwright III and Luka Bloom both in the US and in Europe. Upon releasing a few independent albums on itunes, Alpert was selected to record her song Untied by The Sunset Sessions for PBS at Sun Studios in Memphis, TN, recording home of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Howlin’ Wolf, and B. B. King. While touring internationally, an Italian vinyl label (Cappuccino Records), recorded and released a collection of acoustic performances live in Italy which is now available worldwide on Amazon.

Raised on the South Side of Chicago, Vic rose to public awareness as a member of the eclectic hip-hop band Kids These Days and founder of the Chicago collective SAVEMONEY alongside Chance The Rapper and other local upstarts Joey Purp and Peter CottonTale. His solo debut mixtape INNANETAPE dropped in 2013, igniting immediate accolades (including a spot on the XXL Freshman cover in 2014), and a fortuitous introduction to Jay Z that led to a record deal with Roc Nation. Mensa went on to help Kanye West pen his esoteric song “Wolves” from The Life of Pablo, drop three critically acclaimed EPs (2016’s There’s A Lot Going On, 2018’s Hooligans, and 2020’s V TAPE) and his debut full length The Autobiography (2017), as well as furthering social causes in his hometown through his nonprofit SAVEMONEYSAVELIFE. In both music and his social activism, Vic challenges the American system responsible for a history of overcriminalization, racial injustice, and issues that affect the lives of people in underserved communities, while showcasing profound levels of consciousness and self-reflection.
