Mark Mummert is Cantor at Trinity Lutheran Church, Worcester, Massachusetts, where he leads congregational worship, conducts the Trinity Choir and Trinity Choristers, and is Artistic Director of the Music at Trinity series. He is also the Artistic Director of Diamonds From The Dust, a professional vocal ensemble. He was the 2015 Distinguished Visiting Cantor at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg Mark also served as Director of Worship at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Houston, Texas (2008-2015)and Seminary Musician at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (1990-2008). He is a composer of the first musical setting of Holy Communion in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's (ELCA) core worship resource, Evangelical Lutheran Worship. He served as editor of Psalm Settings for the Church Year (Augsburg Fortress, 2008) and Music Sourcebook for Lent and the Three Days (Augsburg Fortress, 2010). He was principal musician for the 2005 National Convention of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, the 2007 ELCA Churchwide Assembly and Worship Jubilee, and visiting scholar for Emory University's Candler School of Theology's "The Singing Church" Project in 2012.
