Ectoplasm is an Italian DJ / producer from Pisa.

Resident of the Plàstic project at the Deposito Pontecorvo club since 2016, he has performed alongside the likes of Speedy J, Ben Sims, Tommy Four Seven, Truncate, Shifted, Steve Rachmad and others, both in the club and in various festivals and events of its area and not. His publications, in particular "Invader E.p." released in 2019 on Sticky Ground with the remixes of Dahryl and Klankman, they have received the support of various international DJs. His sound is mainly techno, with acid, break and electro nuances. His love for the classic timbres of these genres is combined with a look at new experimentation and more modern influences.

The word “Aphotic” means the deep zone of the ocean that receives suboptimal illumination. This title alludes to the perception the ears create when detecting “pure elements” in a crowded texture, resembling the perception of light in pure darkness. The piece seeks the musical equivalent of the elements of an organic component, varying constantly in itself and transforming simultaneously by interacting with each other. Throughout the piece, the delicate interrelations between elements stimulate sensibility to details and provide a critical listening experience.
