Music grounded in resistance, healing, and solidarity, Q (they/them)'s performances draw from both Irish traditional roots (holding a Master’s in Traditional Irish Music Performance from the University of Limerick, and having Scottish and Irish ancestry), as well as folk traditions of protest and storytelling. Through music, Q aims to hold space for reflection, grief, and collective hope - weaving together songs, stories, and melodies that speak to both ancestral memory and present-day struggles. This solo album offering blends traditional Irish fiddle, rebel ballads, folk songs, and original compositions, rooted in heritage and shaped by a commitment to justice and collective care.

I'm Q Brooke Bachand; a nonbinary Canadian folk and Celtic musician specializing in traditional and contemporary fiddle music and song - music grounded in resistance, healing, and solidarity.
